It is becoming harder and harder for Arsenal.

I will say Nwaneri, Trossard and Sterling are interchangeable and will cause problems. When they sold Eddie Nketiah, just to see that money reinvested. It has come back to bite them.

I don't think they regret selling Nketiah. I think he would have helped them now but I don't think they regret letting him go.

  3. Arsenal spread the scorerspublished at 11:55 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Leicester v Arsenal (12.30 GMT)

With the Gunners low on attacking numbers, they will need to find goals from anywhere today. Fortunately for them, this is one of their strengths.

While no player has hit double figures for goals in the league this campaign - the injured Kai Havertz leads the way on nine - a total of 15 Arsenal players have netted in the Premier League in 2024-25.

Their current highest-scoring fit player is Leandro Trossard, with four goals in 24 league games.

As a Liverpool fan, I'm really rooting for Leicester today! Hoping the fan protests get the team fired up, Arsenal suffer from the lack of a striker and a worthy draw is earned. Wishful thinking?

Kai Havertz joins Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli on the sidelines, leaving Leandro Trossard, Raheem Sterling and teenager Ethan Nwaneri as the side's only recognised forwards.

Arteta has had to deal with a number of injury issues throughout the season, with the likes of Ben White, Martin Odegaard and Riccardo Calafiori all missing lengthy spells.

With the transfer window now closed, Arteta says he would consider signing a free agent to ease the club's injury crisis in attack.

"I'll explore every possible situation and make a decision from there," he said.

  6. Havertz injured hamstring blocking shot in trainingpublished at 11:48 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Leicester v Arsenal (12.30 GMT)

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says Kai Havertz's "unexpected" season-ending injury came when the striker blocked a shot during training.

The Germany forward will miss the remainder of the campaign after sustaining a hamstring injury during a winter training break in Dubai.

Havertz will have surgery on the issue and is not expected to return until pre-season.

"He was going to stop a shot after a set-piece and stretched the leg and he felt his hamstring," Arteta said.

"We were having a great camp in Dubai, recharging, training, having some time off and connecting again with nature and a different environment.

"And then the injury happened in a very unexpected way, certainly. So it's a big blow, obviously, because of the injuries that we have."

    Leicester v Arsenal (12:30 GMT)

    Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, speaking to TNT Sports about Kai Havertz being injured: "It was a surprise. It happened in a very strange manner. He is out, and we have plenty of good players - we will do very well.

"We have been like this all season."

On Miles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri: "It is great they're playing as we feel they're ready, and they can impact the team.

"They have to be surrounded with the right personalities. They're lucky that they have some very good players around them."

On the title race: "We are going to start getting into the period when big competitions are decided.

On Leicester: "Very difficult with the way they play against top teams. They're a real threat."

It has been very cruel to them. They got a wonderful result against City, it seemed like they were closing the gap.

Hindsight is great and they have got to get someone better than what they have. You have to find the right person. I still think Raheem Sterling with more games can cause more problems than what he has.

Arsenal could have taken a gamble on a younger player. But you look at City's recruitment, they have done that. They will play when needed and learn and get stronger. When you look at Arsenal down the pitch, they have made signings that have impacted the team. They take time. This window in the middle is so, so tough to get the best players.

The obvious one is Sterling. They expected so much more from him when they brought him in over the summer.

As soon as Sterling became available, they found a way to make it happen. So it must be from the mnager saying that they don't want a striker.

Raheem Sterling starts for Arsenal today - just his fourth league start for Arsenal for the man on loan from Chelsea.

Sterling has played just 216 minutes in the league for the Gunners, failing to score across nine appearances.

Is today the day the England forward finally shows what he can do?

There is an LCFC protest pre-game today. Worth saying it's not against Ruud, but total mismanagement by the board for several years. It is not a direct reaction to poor performances this season, but the result of years of terrible decision making at board level. In response to Nick Mashiter's article - people have not put their name to the protest given recent history of bans being issued against fans (an example of what has been going on). The 2015/16 club that every fan admired no longer exists.

  14. Leicester fanbase feeling 'apathy rather than anger'published at 11:29 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

Whether the planned supporters' protest at today's game against Arsenal gathers any traction remains to be seen.

Fans have been asked to voice their feelings over the running of the club and to wear yellow, a significant colour in Thailand relating to the royal family which will therefore resonate with Foxes' owner and chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha.

Supporters have also been asked to protest in the 14th minute - a reference to Adrien Silva's £22m move from Sporting in 2017, when the Foxes missed the registration deadline by 14 seconds.

It clearly alludes to the muddled transfer as one of the inadequate ways the group feels the Foxes are perceived to have been run.

This protest wants to criticise the club for a lack accountability and transparency, yet the organisers are yet to put their names to it - the irony seemingly lost.

Yes, Leicester City were relegated from the Premier League in 2023 and could go back down again, and there are valid points about the lack of communication and identity at the club.

But apathetic rather than angry feels the most appropriate description of the Leicester fanbase right now.

This is the first match that Arsenal play since the injury to Kai Havertz.

Mikel Arteta has picked his three attackers available to him in Sterling, Trossard and Nwaneri. Trossard is expected to play centrally in Havertz place.

Arsenal XI: Raya, Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly, Partey, Rice, Odegaard, Nwaneri, Sterling, Trossard

  18. Fans have right to voice their opinion - Van Nistelrooypublished at 11:21 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Leicester v Arsenal (12.30 GMT)

Leicester fans planning to protest against the running of the club today have been urged to back the squad in their fight against relegation.

Boss Ruud van Nistelrooy agrees supporters have a right to voice their opinion with Foxes fans being asked to protest before and during today's game.

The protest has been branded Project Reset and urges fans to make themselves heard in the 14th minute, a reference to the 14 seconds the club missed the deadline by to register Adrien Silva for his £22m move from Sporting Lisbon in 2017.

Supporters have chanted for the removal of director of football Jon Rudkin - who is under fire for the club's perceived drift and poor signings.

"Thank God we can live in a society where there is freedom of speech and everyone who feels they can let their voice heard is free to do that and we can all be happy they can do that," said Van Nistelrooy.

"I can only hope the support will be behind the players. Of course it's good if there is anything you want to get off your chest individually or in groups."

  19. 'The players need to step up'published at 11:19 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Arsenal

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard, speaking to TNT Sports: "Last year was brilliant after the break and it was good to get away for a little bit. Get some more rest between games. It was good apart from the one injury [Kai Havertz].

"Every time you play you feel some kind of pressure. With injuries, the players here now need to step up and that's what we're going to try and do.

"We have to be on it. We have seen how they play against the big teams. They have a lot of quality and we have to be on it - we have to start strong."

  20. Sutton's predictionspublished at 11:16 Greenwich Mean Time 15 February

    Leicester v Arsenal (12.30 GMT)

    Chris Sutton
    BBC Sport predictions expert

It seems Kai Havertz has turned into Pele in the eyes of Arsenal fans since he has been sidelined by a hamstring injury.

All of a sudden Havertz is a world-beater, that they cannot cope without, when in reality he has been panned by them for his inconsistent finishing since he joined.

But, with Gabriel Jesus already out injured for the season, Havertz's absence will give Arsenal fans an excuse if they end up not winning anything this campaign.

Still, even with Havertz out, and Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli both injured too, I think Arsenal will have enough to beat Leicester. Leandro Trossard will probably lead their attack, although Raheem Sterling can also play up there.

Leicester are out of the FA Cup and were walloped by Everton in their last Premier League game. This is not going to be anything like as close as their last meeting in September.

    Sutton's prediction: 0-2
