    Liam Boyce

He's bitten the hand that used to feed him!

Blair Spittal curls a free-kick straight off the crossbar, and Boyce taps in the rebound.

    However, he looks offside...

    Ross County 0-2 Hearts

Blair Spittal chops onto his left foot to cross and picks out Alan Forrest - only just on as a substitute - but he misses with his shot, the ball hits his standing leg, and trundles behind.

Neil Critchley will be desperate for his side to find a third goal and kill this game off.

    Motherwell 2-2 Rangers

Off the line from Euan Wilson!

Cracking defending from the midfielder who hacks the ball away for another corner as the Rangers pressure mounts.

  4. More VAR guidancepublished at 16:36 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Motherwell 2-2 Rangers

Some guidance from the Scottish FA on the Lennon Miller incident, which seems like an age ago now...

The tackle was deemed reckless but not enough for a red card and VAR supported the decision.

    Hibernian 1-0 Kilmarnock

Derek McInnes rings the changes with his 10-men, as Kyle Magennis, Innes Cameron and Bruce Anderson are all thrown on in the hope of finding an unlikely equaliser for the disadvantaged visitors.

Dwight Gayle is on for the home side.

  6. Postpublished at 16:34 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Motherwell 2-2 Rangers

Now Rangers look in the mood.

There's a bit of pinball in the box and there's a wee check for a handball as the shot is eventually unleashed.

There's limbs everywhere, but no penalty.

  7. Killie see red - yet againpublished at 16:34 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Hibernian 1-0 Kilmarnock

That dismissal for Danny Armstrong does seem a bit harsh. He definitely catches Jack Iredale but surely he has to go for the loose ball in front of goal. Could that not be filed under 'general hurly-burly'?

That's eight red cards in all competitions for Killie this season.

  8. goal

GOAL Celtic 4-0 St Johnstonepublished at 16:31 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Daizen Maeda

A cracking run and a tidy finish from Daizen Maeda who latches onto the end of Paulo Bernardo's pass.

  9. goal

GOAL Motherwell 2-2 Rangerspublished at 16:30 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Hamza Igamane

    And now it's all square!

From what could have been 4-1, it's now 2-2.

It's wonderful work from the substitute who takes the ball in and curls a lovely effort into the right corner.

    Relief for Rangers.

  10. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 16:30 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Motherwell 2-1 Rangers

    And again, Motherwell are denied.

Truly terrible goalkeeping once more from Jack Butland. The Rangers shotstopper fails to deal with a free-kick and an effort from Dan Casey.

Tony Watt latches onto a spill and slams the ball in, but Casey is offside in the build-up.

  11. No penaltypublished at 16:29 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Ross County 0-2 Hearts

In the end, Ross Hardie gives Hearts a free-kick.

At the start of all of that, Ronan Hale was offside and it was the County striker who was caught.

  12. VAR checkpublished at 16:27 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Ross County 0-2 Hearts

There's a VAR check in Dingwall for a possible Ross County penalty.

Jorge Grant chested down a cross and was caught as he tried to clear the ball.

However, Ross Hardie is across to the screen. We're not sure what he's looking at here.

  13. RED CARD - Armstrong (Kilmarnock)published at 16:27 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Hibernian 1-0 Kilmarnock

Danny Armstrong sees red for a second booking after he catches Jack Iredale.

Fraser Murray shoots across goal with a soft, but well-placed, strike and Jordan Smith is only able to parry the ball back out back into danger.

Ireland hooks the loose ball clear just in the nick of time, before Armstrong steamrollers into the defender.

    Motherwell goal
  16. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 16:24 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Motherwell 2-1 Rangers

Jack Butland, you're a lucky boy,

The Rangers goalkeeper makes a meal of a corner coming in and palms it into his own net.

However, referee Kevin Clancy - who has been busy - disallows the goal for the nearby Tony Watt impeding the goalkeeper.

It's a bit soft, and the Fir Park crowd don't like that VAR stuck with Clancy's decision.

    Hibernian 1-0 Kilmarnock

Martin Boyle attempts to pick out Rocky Bushiri with a floated cross and, after some poor defending from the visitors, Lewis Miller is able to fire on goal.

The defender's ferocious strike is too central and is parried to safety by Robby McCrorie.

  19. Postpublished at 16:20 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Ross County 0-2 Hearts

Hearts are pressing for a third after not getting that penalty. James Penrice is down the left and he crosses for Liam Boyce, but his header loops onto the roof of the net.

  20. RED CARD for Motherwell bosspublished at 16:19 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Motherwell 2-1 Rangers

Well, that's met by the sound of some big old boos. Lennon Miller slides in and catches the ball, and a bit of his Rangers opponent

It looked as though Kevin Clancy was heading to the monitor, but instead he was trotting over to book Stuart Kettlewell. Then he goes back and books him again!
