    Middlesbrough 0-0 Luton

Luton are pressing in numbers quite high up the pitch early on at the Riverside.

A battle between two fairly inconsistent sides, albeit Boro have amassed more points than the visitors.

  2. Postpublished at 12:33 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

    Stoke 0-0 Millwall

Chance after just 25 seconds for the home side and it's one you'd expect Tom Cannon to do better with.

It's a lovely ball in from the left by Million Manhoef and it finds Cannon in space but he misses the target.

Let off for Millwall early on.

As is tradition at this time of year, there are pre-match tributes and services ahead of Remembrance Sunday tomorrow.

Wreaths are laid and crowds pay their respects with applause followed by a minute's silence.

The famous sound of the bugle also rings around the grounds.

  5. Bradshaw one of four Millwall changes at Stokepublished at 12:26 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

    Stoke's team to play Millwall

Narcis Pelach makes two changes to the Stoke team that won 2-0 at Ewood Park, with Eric Bocat and Tatsuki Seko coming in for Enda Stevens and Lewis Koumas.

    Millwall team to face Stoke

Returning striker Tom Bradshaw is one of four changes to the Millwall team that beat Leeds in midweek.

Josh Coburn, Casper De Norre and Femi Azeez also come in, with Duncan Watmore, George Saville, George Honeyman and Macaulay Langstaff all on the bench.

The graphic show's Coburn slotting into that number 10 position that has been occupied by Honeyman - who has started every other game this season - but don't be surprised to see the 21-year-old and form a strike partnership with Bradshaw.

  6. Four changes for Boro, five for Lutonpublished at 12:23 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

Just three weeks ago Millwall were 20th in the table after a 1-1 draw against Derby County.

Since then, four 1-0 wins have propelled the Lions up to seventh, with only goal difference keeping them out of the play-off spots.

Neil Harris's side have conceded just two goals since the start of December.

The Potters come into the game on the back of a fine 2-0 win at Blackburn and have won five of their last nine games at home, but Millwall have kept five clean sheets in their last eight away games.

  9. Luton aiming to end away day rut at Boropublished at 12:15 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

    Middlesbrough v Luton (12:30 GMT)

Middlesbrough have struggled for consistency so far this season, which is epitomised by their last six games (W2 D2 L2).

But Boro dusted themselves down well to recover from a 3-0 defeat with 10 men at home to Coventry last weekend by thrashing QPR 4-1 at Loftus Road on Tuesday night.

There's a long way still to go and a win today for Michael Carrick's side could see them head into the international break in a play-off spot, depending on other results.

Luton's return to the Championship since relegation from the Premier League has not been easy going.

The Hatters are one of six teams tied on 15 points and are only above Plymouth in the relegation zone on goal difference.

Their 1-0 win over Cardiff in midweek was only the second time this season Rob Edwards' side have strung together a run of two games without defeat following a 1-1 draw at home to West Brom a week ago.

Luton's away form has been poor with just one victory on the road (D1 L4) and have lost their last three. Can they improve on that today?

  10. Two sides looking to bounce back from defeatspublished at 12:12 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

    Cardiff v Blackburn (12:30 GMT)

    Omer RizaImage source, Rex Features

Cardiff will be hoping their good home form continues today as they aim to steer away from the drop zone.

They have won each of their first four home Championship matches under manager interim manager Omer Riza.

Riza has been Cardiff's interim manager since late September but admits that the continuing uncertainty over the position of permanent manager is beginning to take its toll when "you don't know what's coming next".

The Bluebirds' six-game unbeaten league run came to an end on Wednesday evening when they fell to a 1-0 defeat at Luton last time out.

Like today’s opponents, Blackburn will be looking to bounce back from a midweek defeat.

Rovers went down to a 2-0 home loss against Stoke which was their third on the spin and their fourth game without scoring.

John Eustace’s side have failed to score in either of their last two league visits to Cardiff (D1 L1) since a 1-0 victory in the 2021-22 season.

  11. Black Cats can extend lead at the top... for nowpublished at 12:09 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

Watford's 1-0 win against Oxford United moved the Hornets up to fourth ahead of today's Championship games.

Leeds could move up to the automatic promotion spots with a win at home to struggling QPR today and Sunderland can temporarily extend their lead at the top with victory at home to Coventry, with the Blades in action in the Sheffield derby tomorrow.

Six teams go into this afternoon's games on 15 points, with Plymouth Argyle in the relegation places due to their inferior goal difference.

Vakoun Bayo celebrates scoring for WatfordImage source, Getty Images

This weekend's Championship action began last night at Vicarage Road as Watford came out on top in the clash of the yellow armies, beating Oxford United 1-0.

Vakoun Bayo's 54th-minute strike was enough to secure the three points and continue the Hornets' formidable unbeaten run at home.

Tom Cleverley's side have now won six of their seven games on home soil this season and drew the other to give them 19 of their 25 points so far.

After a cagey first 45 minutes, the hosts dominated the majority of the second half and should probably have been out of sight before they were forced to survive a late rally by Des Buckingham's men.
