  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

    Sunderland 0-0 Coventry

Patrick Roberts was lurking at the back post but it wouldn't fall for him quickly enough before Rigg's effort.

  2. Postpublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

    Portsmouth 0-0 Preston

First bit of action as Kaine Kesler-Hayden puts in a low cross into the box from the left which finds Emil Riis who is denied by Nicolas Schmid, but the flag was raised for offside against the Preston striker.

  3. Postpublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

    Norwich 0-0 Bristol City

  4. Postpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

It's been a quiet start in this one.

Both of these sides go into into this with no wins in their last four games.

    Will something give today?

  5. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

    Norwich 0-0 Bristol City

GOAL: Derby 1-0 Plymouthpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

    Jerry Yates (8 mins)

    What a goal!

Amazing from Derby, who are amazing at Pride Park!

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing whips in a great ball with his right foot into the Plymouth area.

The Pilgrims can't clear the ball, it loops up in the air and Jerry Yates meets it with a spectacular overhead kick to give the Rams the lead.

The perfect start for the home side.

  7. Postpublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

    Sunderland 0-0 Coventry

A cagey opening with no shots in the first seven minutes at the Stadium of Light.

Perhaps a quiet start will favour the visitors as they adapt to their new life without Mark Robins in charge.

  8. Postpublished at 15:06 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

    Leeds 0-0 QPR

Two teams in very different places right now facing off at Elland Road.

Leeds failed to score against Millwall and became the latest side to fall to a 1-0 defeat to the Lions last week.

QPR come into this game on the back of a 4-1 hammering against Middlesbrough.

The Hoops are five points adrift of safety and are in desperate need of a result in this one.

Despite having more than 75% possession and 14 shots, Leeds became the latest team to fail to break down Millwall's dogged defence in their 1-0 defeat at The Den on Wednesday.

Daniel Farke's team have a chance to move back into the automatic promotion places with a win today before Sheffield United face their city rivals Wednesday tomorrow.

They face a QPR team in a rotten run of form and on the back of a comprehensive 4-1 defeat at home to Middlesbrough in midweek.

The visitors have lost on each of their last four league visits to Elland Road. The home side in this fixture has won on the last eight occasions in all competitions.

The goal-shy Hoops haven't scored in any of their last three away games.

  11. 'Bishop back on the bench'published at 14:54 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

    Portsmouth v Preston (15:00 GMT)

    Final Score

Two out of form sides meet at Fratton Park.

Neither has won in their last four matches while Pompey haven't won in front of their own fans in 207 days.

Good news for Pompey is that last season's top scorer Colby Bishop is back on the bench after heart surgery in the summer.

  12. Pompey in search of win against fellow strugglerspublished at 14:51 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

    Portsmouth v Preston (15:00 GMT)

No wins in four now for bottom side Portsmouth who are six points away from climbing out the drop zone and still with just the one victory this season.

In their last outing Pompey fell to a 1-0 defeat at fellow strugglers Plymouth with manager John Mousinho rueing his side not coming away with anything.

Pomey are winless in their last seven home league games (D3 L4), their worst run at Fratton Park since an eight-game run between September 2022 and January 2023 in League One.

Preston also go into this game with no wins in their last four but Wednesday’s 0-0 draw at home to Sunderland means it is now only one defeat in their last seven games, although they only remain above the bottom three on goal difference.

This is the first league meeting between these two sides since the 2012-13 League One campaign, when both games ended as draws.

Lots of excitement at the return of Wayne Rooney at Pride Park today.

He got a nice reception from a couple of hundred Derby fans on his arrival to the players’ entrance earlier.

But today, it’s all about business for Rooney & Plymouth.

  14. Rams' home pride and Pilgrims' away miserypublished at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

Plymouth travel to Pride Park having lost eight of their last nine away games.

They face a Derby team who have only lost once at home in the league this season - and have won 10 of their last 12 at home in the EFL.

The Pilgrims have won the last three meetings between the two sides and picked up a much needed three points in a 1-0 win against Portsmouth in midweek, while Derby beat Coventry 2-1 on Wednesday.

  15. 'Both sides limping to international break'published at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

Norwich v Bristol City (15:00 GMT)

    Marc Webber
    Final Score

Away from home, Norwich have had a bad couple of weeks. So, they will be delighted to be back home where they are defending a year-long unbeaten league run.

One year anniversary cards all round, as Norwich celebrate that run and Liam Manning celebrates a year as Bristol City boss.

Both sides limping to the international break with a smorgasbord of injuries which has led to nine Norwich first team contenders occupying the treatment room, while Bristol City are making three changes today.

  16. Will Norwich end five-game winless streak?published at 14:42 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

Norwich v Bristol City (15:00 GMT)

Borja Sainz celebrates scoring for NorwichImage source, Rex Features

Norwich City are without a win in their last five (D3 L2) and have suffered two consecutive defeats for the first time this season at Cardiff and Sheffield Wednesday this past week.

The Canaries are unbeaten at home but will feel they've drawn too many at Carrow Road with two wins and four ending all square.

Meanwhile, Bristol City lost for the first time in nine games when Sheffield United scored a last-gasp winner at Ashton Gate in midweek.

Liam Manning's side could move within touching distance of the play-off spots with victory but have failed to win on this ground in their last seven visits.

  17. 'Le Bris has Sunderland flying'published at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

    Sunderland v Coventry (15:00 GMT)

    Will Perry
    Final Score

Having not been to the Stadium Of Light since their most recent Premier League days in 2017, you forget what an exceptional arena this is.

Regis Le Bris has got this team flying. Top of the Championship and they’ll hope to head into the international break with at least a four point cushion on the play-off places.

As for what’s happening at Coventry, despite four Wembley trips, two promotions, a trophy, and the most dramatic FA Cup semi-final, if anyone can please explain why sacking Mark Robins is a good idea, let me know, asking for a friend. Huge call from Doug King.

  18. Tough start to life after Robins for Coventrypublished at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 9 November

    Sunderland v Coventry (15:00 GMT)

    Mark RobinsImage source, Rex Features

Coventry City's first game since Mark Robins was sacked as manager after more than seven years in charge couldn't be more difficult.

The Sky Blues visit Championship leaders Sunderland who are looking to bounce back from two consecutive goalless draws away at QPR and Preston.

Regis Le Bris' side have been almost unstoppable at the Stadium of Light, winning five and drawing one on home soil so far - and will be keen to stay top of the pile.

Interim Coventry boss Rhys Carr said Robins' sacking was a "shock" and it came after the West Midlands side had gone three games unbeaten (W2 D1) before a 2-1 defeat at home to Derby on Wednesday.
