The April heatwave we have enjoyed in the north-west has firmly vanished, a chilly breeze is blowing through Anfield and there are heavy clouds overhead.

But on the pitch Liverpool are bringing the fire, now playing with more zip and certainty than we have seen in recent weeks.

The press from Liverpool has been very impressive. Diaz and Salah are operating very high up the pitch which is pushing Wan-Bissaka and Scarles backwards.

James Maddison produces a really nice dummy to fool the defenders around him, the ball runs onto Yves Bissouma but his shot is blocked and cleared. It's all Spurs at the moment.

Julio Enciso had crossed to Ben Johnson whose header looped into the far corner.

Did Enciso go too early? That's the question.

Ipswich are the better side now. Ben Johnson is given far too much room and he curls just wide from 20 yards out.

Today's start from Liverpool feels very Jurgen Klopp.

The first 18 minutes must've felt like torture for the Ipswich fans but since Julio Enciso's goal they've found their voice and got some momentum.

Spurs are having a decent spell here. They are dominating possession and just threatening to create one or two decent openings.

The problems arise at the other end so Spurs need to keep Wolves as far away from there as possible.

Another chance for Spurs! Mathys Tel runs down the left flank, cuts inside and finds Dominic Solanke with his cross, but the England striker can only flick first-time over the crossbar. Not an easy chance that, but a chance nonetheless.

Oooof! Alex Palmer is caught late by Nicolas Jackson as he clears a loose ball. There's no malice from Jackson but his knee does catch Palmer's head as the goalkeeper slips.

Just before Mohammed Kudus hit the bar, Alisson had rushed out to deny a Carlos Soler one-on-one. Me saying he was "stranded" was a little harsh without that key bit of context.

That was a brilliant save from Alisson. It's the work that goalkeepers do routinely day in and day out and you don't often get to perform it in a game. He came out and made himself big and his footwork and reaction to get back - it's brillant goalkeeping.

Marshall Munetsi steals the ball in midfield and tries to play a wide-open Jørgen Strand Larsen in on goal, but the Zimbabwean overcooks his through ball. Spurs' defensive vulnerabilities clear for all to see there.
