    Norwich 0-0 Luton

An early chance for Norwich City and it falls to top scorer Borja Sainz.

Emi Marcondes wins the ball high up the pitch and plays it forward but Sainz is only able to find the side-netting.

Luton get the first shot of the game away but Jacob Brown's effort doesn't cause too many problems for Angus Gunn in the Norwich goal.

  6. 'Luton are struggling with a Premier League hangover'published at 14:59 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    Norwich v Luton (15:00 GMT)

    Simon Lappin
Former Norwich midfielder on BBC Radio Norfolk

It seems as if Luton are struggling with a Premier League hangover. They are a different entity at home. Everyone knows how difficult it is to go to Kenilworth Road.

But they were beaten really convincingly away at Leeds. So, I think Norwich will be expecting a reaction from Luton and Rob Edwards will be demanding a reaction from his players and they will know that themselves.

  7. Can draws scupper West Brom play-off hopes?published at 14:58 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    Final Score

Dai Cornell comes in as Preston’s keeper after Freddie Woodman was sent off at Stoke on Tuesday.

Lewis Dobbin with a first league start for West Brom while the staff tell me the club’s worry is the number of draws they keep getting (eight in the last nine games) may scupper their play-off hopes.

Both these sides had 0-0 draws in the week. I hope I am in for some goals today though!

    Blackburn 1-0 Leeds

Leeds boss Daniel Farke had won all three of his previous trips here.

Heading towards the final 20 minutes and the German is yet to go to his bench yet this afternoon.

  9. Bluebirds look to thwart Lampard's returnpublished at 14:56 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    Coventry v Cardiff (15:00 GMT)

Frank Lampard on today's Coventry City programmeImage source, PA Media

If Frank Lampard could have handpicked the fixture for his first game as Coventry boss he might well have selected this.

The Sky Blues welcome a struggling Cardiff side who are without an away win all season and have lost three of their past four matches.

That said, Coventry's recent record against the South Wales side is poor to say the least with just three wins in the past 17 meetings between the two teams.

  10. Lampard hoping to capitalise on patchy Cardiff formpublished at 14:54 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    Coventry v Cardifff (15:00 GMT)

    Naz Premji
    Final Score

Frank Lampard is starting his fifth managerial role with a team at the wrong end of the Championship table and with fans still unsure after the sacking of Mark Robins who was one game away from taking the club from League Two to the Premier League back in 2023.

Managerless Cardiff are still under the caretaker stewardship of Omar Riza and the Bluebirds are struggling.

Their form on the road is patchy and Lampard and co will be hoping they can capitalise and get a win here.

  11. Can Potters crack stubborn Clarets?published at 14:52 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    Stoke v Burnley (15:00 GMT)

Stoke face a tall order if they're to secure the points today.

Not only are Burnley fighting for a place in the top two of the Championship but they also boast the best defence in the entire English Football League.

Scott Parker's men have kept a remarkable 11 clean sheets in 17 league games so far this season and are yet to let in two goals in a single match.

Leeds are really putting the home side under pressure now.

Aynsley Pears makes a great save to deny Pascal Struijk's header and Willy Gnonto's follow up is blocked by Sondre Tronstad.

Still over 30 minutes to go in this one.

  13. Albion aim to return to top sixpublished at 14:49 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

Preston v West Brom (15:00 GMT)

There was talk midweek that Carlos Corberan was one of the names in the hat for the managerial role at Premier League side Leicester City, but you can bet that the highly-rated Spaniard would have stayed fully focused on this afternoon's game.

His West Bromwich Albion side can capitalise on Watford's draw against QPR and move back into the play-off positions with a win at Preston North End today.

They are favourites to do so, too.

Preston have not won any of their last seven Championship games and they have also lost eight of their last eleven league matches against Albion.

  14. Swans aim to start strong against strugglers Pompeypublished at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    Swansea v Portsmouth (15:00 GMT)

Swansea will be hoping for another positive start against Portsmouth this afternoon.

Luke Williams' side's last two matches have seen them score a total of three goals in the first 15 minutes.

Bottom of the table Portsmouth have a leaky defence away from home, with only Watford and Plymouth conceding more than Pompey's 18 goals on their travels this season.

The wall of great Swansea legends greeted John Mousinho as he arrived with a notepad and hot beverage earlier, but the history books on this fixture look kinder on Portsmouth.

They are unbeaten in 11 league games against Swansea, a run going back 64 years.

    Blackburn 1-0 Leeds

The away side have had just a shade over 70% of the possession in this one so far.

They'll believe they can play their way back into this, as Willy Gnonto sees a cross-shot punched away by Rovers keeper Aynsley Pears.

Norwich City striker Borja Sainz celebrates scoring a hat-trick against PlymouthImage source, Rex Features

Norwich City returned to winning ways in emphatic style in midweek by thrashing Plymouth 6-1 to end a run of seven games without victory (D4 L3).

The Canaries had also been unbeaten at Carrow Road for a year until Bristol City won 2-0 on 9 November.

Johannes Hoff Thorup's side are five points off the play-off spots in 10th and looking to get a promotion push back on track.

Luton have endured an inconsistent return to the Championship following relegation from the Premier League as they beat Hull City 1-0 last weekend before losing 3-0 at Leeds on Wednesday night.

The Hatters are just three points above the drop zone in 16th and Rob Edwards will be keen to start putting some daylight between themselves and those fighting for survival.

  17. Will Pilgrims end away day misery?published at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

Bristol City v Plymouth (15:00 GMT)

    Wayne RooneyImage source, Rex Features

Bristol City have now suffered three defeats in their past four matches, having previously been on an eight-game unbeaten run.

The Robins lost narrowly at Watford in midweek to follow on from another 1-0 loss at home to Burnley last Saturday.

Liam Manning will be keen for his side to get back on track at Ashton Gate where they have failed to win in their last five (D3 L2).

Plymouth Argyle are making one of their relatively shorter journeys of the season but will arrive fresh off the back of a 6-1 humbling at Norwich on Tuesday night.

Wayne Rooney criticised his team's performance and said the under-18s would have defended better at Carrow Road as their winless streak away from home stretched to nine games.

With just one win in their last eight (D3 L4) and sitting in 20th, the Pilgrims need to start picking up more points to move away from the drop zone.

Here's how things look after those two games in League Two then.

Crewe Alexandra missed the chance to cut the gap to Port Vale to just two points and also stay below Walsall following a 1-1 draw at Carlisle United.

A point is enough to lift the Cumbrians off the bottom of the table and out of the bottom two above Swindon and Morecambe, albeit having played one game more now.

Fleetwood move above Barrow into 12th after a goalless draw with Colchester who also move up one place to 18th on goal difference.
