Foden is 24 now and he's so experienced. He's played in some vital games and had key moments for this club so yeah, it means a lot to him to play for this club.

He spoke on wanting to improve, I'm not sure he needs to improve, just maintain the level he's set himself and he'll have an immaculate career.

He'll go down as one of the most decorated Englishmen.

  2. 'Liverpool's rivals should be worried'published at 22:17 British Summer Time

    FT: RB Leipzig 0-1 Liverpool

    Pat Nevin
Former Everton winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Liverpool picked up when they needed to and looked very, very good. They are not quite there yet, but then you look at the Premier League and Champions League tables and you can't say anything negative.

Arne Slot says judge us after the end of November, because he thinks they will be playing better then. Maybe the rest of the Premier League will have to be worried because they are almost unbeatable.

Liverpool fans have seen their team play better than this, but they haven't seen a better run than this.

  3. 'Liverpool made Leipzig look poor'published at 22:16 British Summer Time

Liverpool made RB Leipzig look so poor.

Leipzig plays with high energy. They press high, win the ball, force turnovers and have a lot of opportunities. But I didn't feel like that happened a lot tonight and I have to give credit to Liverpool for that.

Liverpool are very much in groove. To know that they can play better while winning a majority of their games, it's a very nice position to be in.

  5. 'I was speechless after Haaland goal'published at 22:13 British Summer Time

FT: Man City 5-0 Sparta Prague

    Manchester City

Manchester City midfielder Matheus Nunes speaking to TNT Sports: "Makes it easier [to score first] because we've had a couple of games where we concede first. They were defending with a low block so it made it easier for us. We had more of the ball and we were more calm.

"If it ended up with a 1-0 result we still would have the three points. The aim is to win the game. Of course you want to score the most you can but it's still a win.

"What an amazing goal. I was speechless after that. When he scored a similar goal against Dortmund I was watching on TV so to see this live it was amazing.

"We work for this. Even if you win by one it's the same for us as winning by five - we work for the three points and this time we scored some beautiful goals."

Just seen more replays of that Darwin Nunez no-penalty decision and I'm still baffled as to how it wasn't given.

  18. Haaland goal a 'unique finish'published at 22:04 British Summer Time

FT: Man City 5-0 Sparta Prague

    Joleon Lescott
Former Man City and Wolves defender on TNT Sports

Second half, it was a totally different performance.

They made the game and the pitch bigger.

Some of the goals, especially Haaland's first one, it's a unique finish.

It's not a finish that many strikers would attempt.

  19. 'A club record for Liverpool'published at 22:01 British Summer Time

    FT: RB Leipzig 0-1 Liverpool

    John Murray
Commentator on BBC Radio 5 Live

Liverpool have won again, three wins out of three in the Champions League. A start that continues to go beyond Arne Slot's wildest dreams, he has won 11 out of 12 games.

This is a club record for Liverpool. They have won their first six away matches this season for the first time in the club's history.

The first Haaland goal was certainly special.

I thought second half Manchester City certainly turned the screw.

They blew them away and a really good performance.
