Summary

  1. goal

GOAL Hull City 0-2 West Brompublished at 13:20 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    Josh Maja (17 mins)

Baggies are on the goal trail...

Mikey Johnston shows why he's been recalled with a bustling drive down the left, he digs a cross out to the far post where Darnell Furlong nods back across goal for Josh Maja, totally unmarked, to creep behind the defence and nod into the unguarded net.

He was onside, it was just slack defending.

That's nine for the season for Maja, eight of them have been away from home.

  2. INJURY TIMEpublished at 45 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Sheff Wed

We are into the added-time period at the end of this first half.

We have five minutes of it.

  3. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 14 mins

    Hull City 0-1 West Brom

Hull's Xavier SImons has nearly broken the frame of the goal.

Regan Slater laid the ball into his path on the edge of the box and the Hull midfielder's thunderous side-footed effort comes back off the underside of the bar near the top corner with Baggies keeper Alex Palmer beaten all ends up.

The technique on that... wow... chef's kiss. Three inches lower and we have a goal of the month contender.

  4. 'Wednesday have to be more ruthless'published at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Sheff Wed

    John Pearson
Former Sheffield Wednesday forward on BBC Radio Sheffield

I know there's not much that has happened in this game and the goalkeepers have not had much to do but the game does keep going from one end to the other.

Sheffield Wednesday are getting a few opportunities but we've got to make them count, we've got to be more ruthless.

  5. Postpublished at 44 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Sheff Wed

Marvin Johnson sends in a teasing low ball that is just beyond anyone in blue-and-white in the box, but it's cleared only as far as Shea Charles running onto it.

The chance to make himself a derby hero....

    No chance! Well off target.

Barry Bannan pointsImage source, Rex Features

Ooooft, that Barry Bannan challenge has raised the temperature in here again after a bit of a lull.

The Wednesday skipper was unbelievably late with that challenge.

Not exactly a popular man here before that, his every touch is now being loudly booed.

  7. 'Blades bench sprung up to a man'published at 13:15 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Sheff Wed

    Andy Giddings
    Sports Editor, BBC Sheffield

The Sheffield United bench sprung up to a man when that challenge went in.

    Possibly a little telegraphed.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 40 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Sheff Wed

Another one for the derby tick list - handbags!

Barry Bannan blatantly upends Harrison Burrows to break up a Blades counter attack. Blades captain Ollie Arblaster is quick to voice his opinion to Bannan and before you know it, there is pushing and shoving involving a few players.

Out comes the inevitable yellow card for the wee Wednesday skipper and on we go.

  9. goal

GOAL Hull City 0-1 West Brompublished at 13:14 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    Karlan Grant (12 mins)

    The drought is over...

Moments after Hull managed to scramble clear a Tom Fellows cross, Mikey Johnston finds Karlan Grant on the left of the box, he works some room and lashes in a low shot which takes a double deflection off Lewie Coyle and Alfie Jones to wrong-foot keeper Ivor Pandur and go in at the near post. It was on target though, that's Grant's goal.

That's his 50th league goal and a perfect start for Albion.

  10. 'Owls playing at own pace'published at 13:11 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Sheff Wed

    Ian Woodcock
    BBC Sport at Bramall Lane

The away side certainly aren't in any sort of hurry to get on with things from throw-ins or free-kicks.

The Owls are looking to do things at their pace as much as they can, much to the clear displeasure of the home fans.

  11. 'Wednesday are frustrating United'published at 13:11 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Sheff Wed

    Chris Basham
Former Sheffield United defender on BBC Radio Sheffield

Sheffield Wednesday are frustrating Sheffield United.

Wednesday's back four have been comfortable.

  12. Postpublished at 7 mins

    Hull City 0-0 West Brom

Cagey start, fittingly for a Tigers game, I suppose.

West Brom's best moments have come in transition after pinching the ball off the hosts who are intent to build from the back patiently.

How much of a miss will Mohamed Belloumi be for Hull, though. He'd been perhaps the brightest spark of all for Tim Walter this season but suffered an ACL injury on Tuesday night and might miss the rest of the season.

  13. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Sheff Wed

Sheff Utd are really struggling to play their way through Sheff Wed's organised defence.

The Blades need a four-goal win to go top of the Championship today. They will be thrilled with any kind of victory, watching how this is playing out.

  14. 'I wonder if this game will move into the gears'published at 13:08 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Sheff Wed

    Andy Giddings
    Sports Editor, BBC Sheffield

I just wonder if and when this game will move into the gears but we are seeing both sides ease into the match.

  15. Postpublished at 34 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Sheff Wed

Good news for the Blades as captain Ollie Arblaster returns to the field.

  16. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Hull City 0-0 West Brom

Hull remain intent on playing out from the back, much to the chagrin of many of their faithful this season.

They get pressed high by the Baggies forwards who force a mistake inside a minute allowing Karlan Grant to take a touch in the City area and fizz a low cross across goal which none of his teammates are able to capitalise on.

  17. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Sheff Wed

Another stoppage as the physios come on to look at Blades skipper Ollie Arblaster.

He looks in a bit of discomfort as he goes down without any contact from an Owls player.

  18. 'This will be a tough game'published at 13:03 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    Hull City 0-0 West Brom

    Russ Wilcox
Former Scunthorpe manager on BBC Radio Humberside

It'll be a tough game with both sides striving to get back into the Premier League.

  19. KICK-OFFpublished at 1 mins

    Hull City 0-0 West Brom

A touch behind schedule a very big game for both teams and both managers, for different reasons, is under way...

Which side can go into the international break on a high?

  20. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Sheff Wed

Half an hour played and neither goalkeeper has had a save to make.

Wednesday boss Danny Rohl will probably be the more satisfied with his team is performing.
