    Oh my word!

Josko Gvardiol dilly dallies on the throw-in and eventually opts for John Stones but it's a wild throw that doesn't find the City defender and is instead picked up by Richarlison.

He surely has to score but he fires straight at Stefan Ortega! Tottenham should have put the game to bed there!

Jacob Wright got it all wrong, but he's had a brilliant introduction into this game.

He has looked assured and he looks like he belongs to be playing out there.

How long can Tottenham allow City to boss this game before inevitably conceding a goal?

Manchester City do well to keep the ball alive from the corner and Jacob Wright loops it over to Bernardo Silva at the back post. The Portugal midfielder sends it straight back but Wright snatches at his shot and it flies out for a throw-in.

He is such an attacking threat, Josko Gvardiol. He come to Man City as a defender and you find him on the corner of the six-yard box looking for a shot or cross.

Josko Gvardiol goes down right next to Pep Guardiola's technical area and the City boss rushes over to his defender to make sure he's OK.

Clearly petrified of one of his side picking up another injury.

It's all Manchester City at the moment. Josko Gvardiol pulls one back into a dangerous area but Yves Bissouma sends it the other way.

Around 15 minutes for City to turn this one around.

    Interesting change from Man City.

I always wonder in these games if these substitutes are pre-determined.

I'd be disappointed as a Villa fan tonight. I know they're prioritising a CL place, but surely a club that hasn't won a trophy for donkey's years, who are now on the rise, could have given a domestic cup like this a real go? Maybe the FA Cup eh?

Before the match Pep Guardiola asked for "a good performance with no injuries, please".

I sense the Spanish manager won't be too pleased with how this evening has played out.

Well that would've been some moment!

Youngster Jacob Wright is in acres of space 20-yards out and he takes his shot really well but it whistles just wide.

Timo Werner has been signalling to the bench for a few minutes and has just sat down. It looks like he's in a bit of pain and is going to come off.

He hobbles off for Richarlison. Brennan Johnson also makes way for Mikey Moore.
