Jon Evans: Poor performance from Villa. Disappointing to see this being played like an exhibition game. I'm sure most fans would like to see Villa try to take the opportunity for some silverware despite the prioritisation of the League and Europe.

It's obviously nice to see United score 5 against a Premier League side for a change but if United defend like they have done tonight on Sunday, we'll get beat! Only real positives I'm taking from tonight are the performances of Casemiro and Ugarte

Good performance from Newcastle, who did the damage to Chelsea in the first half. The energy, the pressing, it was back to what these fans have gotten used to seeing under Eddie Howe.

They had to defend in the second half, Chelsea missed a few really big chances, which helped. A win, the clean sheet, into the quarter-finals. A really positive night for Newcastle.

Oh no. This is not what Manchester City will want to see. It looked fairly innocuous at first but he is in some serious bother here and is going to be taken off on a stretcher.

    Not a nice sight.
