What a chance, what a sitter! It is a great ball in behind for Joao Felix and Dan Burn can't get there. He times the run to perfection, with just the goalkeeper to beat, he tries to cushion it into the net but just toe pokes it wide. A let off for Newcastle.

Spurs need to come out and try get that 2 goal cushion again. City will just grow in confidence if we don't and I can't see us defending well for 45 minutes.

Brighton 2-3 Liverpool
Brighton have five minutes to find a leveller.
Jarrell Quansah makes way for Ibrahima Konate.
Newcastle 2-0 Chelsea
Huge chance for Chelsea here. Nick Pope flies out towards the edge of his box and Joao Felix reaches the ball first but pokes it agonisingly wide of the empty goal.
Tariq Lamptey (89 mins)
Late drama?
Well Brighton get a bit lucky there as Tariq Lamptey's low shot takes a big deflection.
It looks like it might've been going in anyway. The Seagulls won't care. Can they sneak a late, late equaliser?
Newcastle 2-0 Chelsea
Sean Longstaff thinks he has made it 3-0 for about a second with a close-range header before turning to see the offside flag has been raised.
Man Utd 5-2 Leicester
Leicester almost get a third goal but Boubakary Soumare's drive from 20 yards is tipped onto the bar by the keeper.

What a goal this would have been. Manchester United sub Amad Diallo sends a bicycle kick flying just wide.

Newcastle need to try and take the sting out of this game because every time they win the ball back they giving it straight back to Chelsea and inviting pressure onto themselves.
Newcastle 2-0 Chelsea
A bit of a Toon shambles at the back but Nick Pope throws himself at the feet of Christoper Nkunku to stop a potential Chelsea goal.
Luis Diaz (85 mins)
Curits Jones sees his deflected effort pawed away by Jason Steele but it's a really poor clearance from Joel Veltman and Luis Diaz is all over it.
He turns, drifts in and places it into the bottom corner.
It looks like Liverpool will be heading safely through to the next round.

Khan: Sloppy by Quansah, who did the same vs Man U to cost Liverpool the match last season. He does so many difficult things so well yet gives away the simplest of balls so often. Needs to learn composure to become a top defender

Tottenham fans will be delighted with Lucie and Lloyd's comment about being two nil up at half time!

Chelsea have done well so far in this second half. They have found some rhythm in their play and are causing Newcastle problems, particularly down this left hand side with Mykhailo Mudryk.
Daichi Kamada (64 mins)
Well he has just poked one wide but this time he makes no mistake!
Daichi Kamada drills his right-footed shot from just outside the box into the bottom left corner.
Is that the winning goal?
Around 25 minutes to go.
Simon Adingra (81 mins)
Oh hello!
Jarrell Quansah makes a big error at the back, passing straight to the feet of a Brighton player. It drops to Simon Adingra and he picks his spot well and slams into the bottom corner.
