  1. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:54 British Summer Time

    Brentford 2-2 Ipswich

Well that was a lengthy bit of injury time at the end of the first half but what a half it's been. Ipswich in dream land after scoring two goals in three minutes but Brentford responded with two in two minutes.

That second Brentford goal has actually gone down as Harry Clark own goal.

What a second half we're in for.

    Brentford 2-2 Ipswich

It's end to end at the Community Stadium!

A cross from midfield has too much on it for Bryan Mbeumo and it looks like an Ipswich goal kick will be the last act of the first half.

  4. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 British Summer Time

    Brighton 1-0 Wolves

Advantage Brighton at the break thanks to goal machine Danny Welbeck.

    HT: Man City 1-0 Southampton

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter at the Etihad Stadium

Southampton manager Russell Martin ended the first half having a long chat with fourth official Sam Allison.

Martin is clearly not happy at some of the decisions that have gone against his side here.

He was nearly celebrating a Cameron Archer equaliser though.

Martin had his arms raised and was ready to jump as Archer shot before pulling back.

  6. 'If it's a Brighton goal it's going to be a Welbeck goal'published at 15:50 British Summer Time

    Brighton 1-0 Wolves

    Chris Wise
BBC Radio 5 Live reporter at Amex Stadium

Of course if it's a Brighton goal then it will be a Danny Welbeck goal, because he is the only one scoring for them at the moment. That's four in five now for him, right before half time, and it is the sort of finish you see from a player that is super confident at the moment.

Saints learning from previous games that you can lose a game in the first half. If they can stay 1 behind for 90 minutes, anything can happen!

    Brentford 2-2 Ipswich

    Chris Sutton
Ex-Premier League striker on Final Score

Game on now. The amount of chances that Ipswich have missed to take it to 3-0, you felt that Brentford could come back and they are level just before half time.

Aston Villa have some defending to do in these final minutes of the first half with Bournemouth finishing it strongly.

  13. Postpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time

The goal stands! A lengthy VAR check but Yoane Wissa is just onside and we're all square before the break.

  14. goal

GOAL - Brighton 1-0 Wolvespublished at 15:46 British Summer Time

    Danny Welbeck (45+1 min)

    Right before half time!

But it is a messy goal as far as Wolves are concerned as Jose Sa's clearance is straight to a Brighton player and the ball is worked to Danny Welbeck inside the box and the striker slots in for his sixth of the season.

  15. goal

GOAL - Brentford 2-2 Ipswich Townpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time

    Yoane Wissa (45+1 mins)

Brentford are through again and it's Yoane Wissa again. He squirms past a couple of defenders and gets the shot away from a tight angle. Harry Clark tries to make a last-ditch block but it trickles over the line!

Two goals in two minutes and Brentford have cancelled out that lead just before half time.

Hang on, VAR are having a look at this, is he offside?

  16. 'At some point you need to throw a punch of your own'published at 15:45 British Summer Time

    Man City 1-0 Southampton

    Martin Keown
Former England defender on Final Score

Southampton are so frightened to play the ball forwards but you can't just defend, defend, defend. You need to go forward. It's like a boxer, you can't just take punch after punch, at some point you need to throw one of your own.

  17. goal

GOAL - Brentford 1-2 Ipswichpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time

    Yoane Wissa (44 mins)

Good work from Brentford but Ipswich are carved open all too easily.

Vitaly Janelt whips in from the left-hand side and finds Yoane Wissa in front of goal who calmly places into the back of the net.

    Brentford back in it.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time

    Man City 1-0 Southampton

Good defending from Jan Bednarek as the ball comes to Erling Haaland and it looks surely like another goal but his block is a crucial one and sends it back up the other end.

Flynn Downes brings down Bernardo Silva and he's into the book for his protestations against the free-kick. Russell Martin is also into the book for giving the officials grief.

  19. Postpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time

    Brighton 0-0 Wolves

Opportunities have dried up a bit in this one although Matheus Cunha chases a good ball forward and wins the battle with Igor Julio. He has no support, however, and by the time his team-mates arrive Brighton have sorted out their defence.

  20. CLOSE!published at 15:41 British Summer Time

    Aston Villa 0-0 Bournemouth

A striker's effort from Ezri Konsa as he sends a fierce effort towards goal but, not for the first time in this game, Mark Travers makes a good save.
