Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo on whether perception has changed on the club and how it can sell itself to new players with their success this season: "It is the other way around. Why do we have to sell ourselves? We are a good club. We are a good club for players. The environment. We have all the facilities that we can give to players to improve. We are improving, growing and trying to get better. This is how it is.

On the culture of the club: "The culture of the club is what the club has made so many years ago in the 70s and 80s. This is the culture of the club. This is what our fans dream of and we have to work very, very hard because it is really difficult to repeat that. The culture is Forest."

More from Nuno Espirito Santo on how likely it is that he will strengthen the side before the transfer window closes: "We are working. The club is working and more than anything it is working on the aspect of keeping our players here.

"That's because this is the squad that we have and these are the players that are going to solve all our problems. It is not easy to operate in this market and because we only consider options that will improve us, it is not easy.

"It's a tricky market for all teams. So that's why I say we will work the other way around and let's keep our players here."

On whether a striker is the one position he would like to bring reinforcements in: "No, it is the same. Only players that can improve us because our players are working very, very well."

The big challenge ahead of us is to sustain this level of performance.

"Nobody expected us or predicted this situation but it is due to the bond - they help each other not only in training sessions but during the matches. The way we operate as a team. It is not a surprise because we demand but expectations are clearly there for everyone to see."

  16. Ferguson's Brighton future still unclearpublished at 13:42 Greenwich Mean Time

Brighton v Everton (Sat, 15:00 GMT)

Less than two weeks to go now before the transfer window closes and still no clarity over the short-term future of striker Evan Ferguson.

The Republic of Ireland star is currently sidelined with an ankle injury and it is not entirely clear whether he will be fit when the window closes on 3 February.

Brighton are open minded about letting Ferguson move on loan. They can see the benefits of the 20-year-old playing regularly – although it would have to be regularly.

However, they are also mindful Danny Welbeck's injury record is patchy and Joao Pedro has also missed matches this season. The last thing Brighton want is to get deeper into the season and discover they are short in the forward department, while Ferguson is scoring goals elsewhere.

Brighton also have decisions to make over Tariq Lamptey and Joel Veltman, who are both out of contract at the end of the season. However, the club do have an option to extend on Veltman's deal, which they still have to decide whether to activate. And, while Lamptey is free to talk to other clubs, Brighton could yet offer him an extension.

Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler was first asked about Julio Enciso leaving on loan to Ipswich Town.

"I think it is important to take care of the development of the young players and that is the way to improve young players," he said.

"To improve young players you have to give them the right game time. I think this is the case with Julio. He played some games but in general there is competition in who is playing so that is why we made the decision together."
