Great reaction save from Radek Vitek!

Louie Barry pulls a ball back into the middle that runs all the way through to full-back Femi Seriki.

He lashes a shot at goal that takes a deflection off Sydie Peck just in front of the Robins keeper and he does brilliantly to keep it out.

Louie Barry forces a decent save from Radek Vitek in the Robins goal with a wonderful curled shot from the edge of the area.

The Blades sold star centre-back Anel Ahmedhodzic to Feyenoord earlier this week.

With skipper Jack Robinson only fit enough for the bench they're fielding Nottingham Forest loanee Tyler Bindon and Rhys Norrington-Davies, more a full-back than central defender, at the heart of their defence.

It's fair to say they look... vulnerable.

Bristol City will bank up and look to hit us on the counter now but we've got to keep doing what we've been doing because in the first half an hour attacking-wise we've been good.

The intensity in this match is really something to behold.

Two teams under new management of course and you get the impression there's a lot of players trying to prove points.

  6. 'An excellent finish'published at 17:59 British Summer Time 9 August

    Gary Owers
Former Sunderland & Bristol City midfielder on BBC Radio Bristol

That is a brilliant goal and it's against the run of play.

It's great work from Emil Riis and Scott Twine who plays in Ross McCrorie. He drives into the box and he drives the shot across the goal.

    An excellent finish.

Just going back to something I said about 10 minutes ago...

The previous 10 games in the Championship this season produced three goals in the first half. Collectively.

We had three in the first 26 minutes of this barnstormer.

From NOWHERE the away side lead once more!

Take nothing away from the quality of Ross McCrorie's finish though!

The Robins play a ball into the channel for striker Emil Riis to chase, chase it he does and he squares the ball for Scott Twine who puts a lovely five-yard pass into the run of McCrorie and his low shot is unnerving.

What a game we have on our hands here.

    Sheff Utd 1-1 Bristol City

Femi Seriki gets forward brilliantly down the Blades' right and his low centre is hacked just wide of his own goal by Adam Randell.

That would have been the kind of debut goal you don't want for the Bristol City man.

First quarter of this match has flown by.

Its the hosts who are now firmly on top after the Robins took a very early lead through Scott Twine's sumptuous free-kick.

Louie Barry drifts in off the left and his deflected shot goes narrowly past the post.

The home side opened up the Robins with ease there.

There had been a real dearth of early goals in the first 10 games in the Championship this season.

Not so much in this game!

Tyrese Campbell will get the applauds and rightly so as the man who's put the ball in the net but the reaction from Callum O'Hare to chase it down...

That's the reaction that you want when going a goal down.

The home side were starting to get into it a bit after that brilliant start from Bristol City and now they're level!

Callum O'Hare loses the ball in midfield but goes and pinches it back and the away side are on the hop.

O'Hare slips Tyrese Campbell in on goal and the striker wallops the Blades level.

    Lovely.

    Sheff Utd 0-1 Bristol City

The Blades go on their first foray forward and Andre Brooks wins a corner down their right.

The home side deal with the initial ball and Gus Hamer's shot is blocked.

The hosts pick the loose ball up though.

When a goal comes after five minutes, the one thing you can't do is panic.

The early goal has settled Bristol City, they're playing like the team at home.

  17. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Sheff Utd 0-1 Bristol City

It's all Bristol City and Scott Twine wants his second.

The forward drives at the makeshift Blades backline and his effort takes a deflection and goes over the bar.

With thanks to our colleagues at Sky Sports, that's 16 goals from direct free-kicks in the past five seasons for Scott Twine now.

    Unsurprisingly, nobody has more.

The keeper didn't even see it, he didn't even smell it. That's what Scott Twine practises, clearly.

    It's just pure class.

  20. goal

GOAL: Sheff Utd 0-1 Bristol Citypublished at 17:35 British Summer Time 9 August

    Scott Twine (5 mins)

He is ELECTRIC from free kicks!

Scott Twine hammers a set piece into the top corner with an absolute beauty.

Anis Mehmeti was felled 22 yards out and from the moment that ball left Twine's boot it was in the net.
