It's not looking great for Aston Villa defender Lucy Parker.

The England youth player will be out of action for a "short period of time" after coming off during last weekend’s draw at Manchester United.

Parker left the field after 68 minutes in discomfort and it has been confirmed that she suffered an ankle injury.

A club statement said: "Having seen a specialist in the last couple of days it has been determined that, while not a serious injury, Parker will be out of action for a few weeks and will be reassessed in due course."
