You can't miss the Crystal Palace players. Highlighter yellow I think is what we call that colour kit.

It's been pretty even since the opener.

A pro tip for those watching Leicester this season - do not expect a goal fest.

Leicester are the joint lowest scorers in the division, with just two goals, but have the best defensive record in the bottom half - only six conceded.

So in total, just eight goals have been scored in their opening seven league games, by some distance a WSL low.

    Manchester United

England defender Maya Le Tissier says there is "a lot more" Manchester United can improve on as they prepare to face Leicester City on Sunday.

United sit fifth in the Women's Super League table with three wins and three draws in their opening six matches.

Despite going unbeaten with five clean sheets in all competitions this season, there has been criticism by some supporters for their performances.

"We’ve kept five clean sheets in our seven games, which is quite impressive. Now we need to focus on what we can do with the ball," Le Tissier told BBC Sport.

"From a defender’s point of view, we’re very happy. Every player in the whole team has played their part."

Everton have still yet to win after 7 games this season, having only scored one goal (and had an own goal in their favour), in a poor start to the campaign.

Boss Brian Sorensen believes that this weekend's Merseyside derby would be the perfect time to get that first win to "kickstart the season".

"We want to win this so badly," said Sorensen. "It’s a derby but we also want to get the first win of the season. We are hoping to get that success and kickstart the season."

He added, "They [Liverpool] probably have a bit more depth. We have to be very solid for 90 minutes."

Bad news Villa fans. Your side have failed to win any of their last eight matches when conceding first in the WSL, since a victory over West Ham United on 19 November, 2023.

Crystal Palace have looked dangerous going forward. My Cato was running in on the edge of the box, nobody picking her up and she just had to drive it into the bottom corner. Aston Villa must be really disappointed with that defending. Nobody tight enough to the runners in the box.

    The breakthrough!

Crystal Palace have absorbed all of Villa's possession and have now responded with a superb goal.

Mille Gejl drives into the box, holds the ball up on the left, and then perfectly tees up an unmarked My Cato who passes one into the bottom corner.

Villa's horror start to the season is getting worse.

Liverpool boss Matt Beard says that his players are "raring to go" as they look to claim the Merseyside derby spoils at Goodison Park this afternoon.

"We’re looking forward to it," said Beard. "We’ve trained well this week. We’ve worked really hard in training, we’re ready and raring to go."

Liverpool haven't won the derby since 2019 in the league but rivals Everton remain winless after seven games so far this season.

However Beard did warn of form "going out the window" in derby games, insisting that his side are not underestimating their rivals despite their poor start.

"We just have to make sure we turn up. If we do that we know we have the quality," said Beard.

He added, "The players don’t need any motivation for the game. It’s a derby. It’s going to be a good occasion."

Oh wow. It certainly hasn't felt like it, because Palace are getting loads of chances on the counter, but Aston Villa had 74% possession over the opening 15 minutes of this game.

    Huge chance for Crystal Palace.

Katie Stengel is threaded through but again Villa keeper Sabrina D'Angelo stars, racing off her line and narrowing the angle, helping her save with her body.

Relief for Stengel as the flag then goes up. She'd have been offside if it had gone in.

You want Rachel Daly leading that line. They are looking for each other her and Nunes. but you want her to lead the line. Daly is lethal in the air and Nunes needs to have that ability to work with her, link with her and pick up the pieces around her.

Cheers Emma. So injury, not tactical, as I initially assumed.

Back to Villa Park and the home side are getting up the field with some pacey play on the wings. But their crosses into the box are lacking at the mo.

    Thanks for your message William.

And that reminds me, here's a great stat from Opta I've been meaning to share with you all:

Aston Villa manager Robert de Pauw is the first manager to fail to win any of their first seven games in charge in the WSL (D3 L4) since both Scott Booth and Jonathan Morgan in November 2021, with those managers losing their jobs after games seven and eight respectively
