Borussia Dortmund's victory over PSG last night killed off any chance of a fifth English team in next season's Champions League.
It also means the recipients of the European Performance Spots - Germany and Italy - could get six teams in the expanded 36-team competition as Borussia Dortmund and Italian duo Roma and Atalanta could qualify anyway, by winning the Champions League and Europa League, respectively - with the European Performance Spot an addition on top of that.

Image source, Getty ImagesThe game against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge is a big one for both Chelsea and Mauricio Pochettino.
The match will be Pochettino's 400th match in English football after his spells at Southampton and Tottenham, while Chelsea's chase for European football means they have to get a positive result.
They have one game in hand and are just five points from seventh place and six points from sixth place.
Pochettino has been trying to build consistency at Chelsea throughout the season in his 'project' at Stamford Bridge but injuries have hampered him throughout the campaign.
It has taken a while for some Chelsea fans to warm to Pochettino because of his ties to Tottenham and Pochettino's comments about not being able to "hide his emotions" against his former club will not have gone down well with some.
He mentioned that it takes time to build a relationship and when he is out walking his dog and sees supporters, they show him appreciation.
However, Pochettino knows the only way to keep supporters totally happy is to be winning games. He will hope that starts with victory over Spurs.

If Tottenham win both their games in hand they will be just a point behind Aston Villa.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are ninth and five points off seventh. They also have a game in hand on Newcastle, who currently occupy that position.

We have a Thursday night treat tonight with Chelsea and Tottenham meeting in the Premier League.
The last time these two sides met the Blues thrashed Spurs 4-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Nicholas Jackson scoring a hat-trick in a chaotic clash.
Spurs were reduced to nine men in the game but nevertheless went all out for the win - a tactic that ultimately failed to pay off.
Will we get such madness this time? We can only hope.

Chelsea have lost just one of their last 33 home league games against Tottenham, going down 3-1 in April 2018 when Spurs were managed by Mauricio Pochettino.
Only against Manchester United (39) have Tottenham lost more Premier League games than they have against Chelsea (34).
Chelsea have done the Premier League double nine times against Tottenham, only doing so more against Manchester City (10). Meanwhile, Spurs have only lost twice in the same season more often against Manchester United (10) than they have against the Blues.
After a run of just one win in 14 Premier League home games between March and November last year (D7 L6), Chelsea have now won seven of their last nine at Stamford Bridge (D1 L1). They’ve scored 29 goals in their last 10 home league games, as many as they had in their previous 27.
