Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven spoke to TNT Sports about the delight in winning the Europa League after an injury-ravaged season:

"Unbelievable feeling. Can't really describe it to be honest. We always believed in this squad, everybody kept believing even if we had a tough season. The fans, everybody deserves this.

"I saw the ball came in and I think it bounced off Vic's (Guglielmo Vicario) head and I was like I have to go to the goal, and at first I wasn't sure how I am going to do this and to be honest the ground over there is not soft. Happy to help the team.

"Tough season for myself with injuries, didn't play a lot but every rehab session was worth it to stand here and lift this trophy."

On the subject of relief, Spurs fans everywhere will be relieved this morning that centre-back Micky van de Ven put the hours in at the gym to get his hamstrings back in working order.

There was plenty of "banter" on TNT Sports' coverage last night.

Former Tottenham talisman Gareth Bale stated that the club have now got rid of the "Spursy" tag after beating Manchester United in the Europa League:

"It could be a 'Unitedy' thing now, I'm telling you. It gets rid of that stigma (Spursy) now for sure and hopefully we can build on it."

After last night's game, former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel grabbed James Maddison to do an interview for CBS Sports, for whom ex-United captain Roy Keane is a pundit.

Maddison was injured so didn't play and said he "wasn't going to do any interviews... but then I heard it was with Roy Keane."

Micah Richards then asked Maddison to do his trademark darts celebration and he obliged, saying: "With pleasure. Roy Keane, that's for you son."

Keane had criticised Maddison earlier this year, before Maddison scored the only goal in Tottenham's home win over United in February and celebrated by putting a finger to his lips.

Keane took Maddison's latest response in good jest, but did make sure he got in a dig of his own.

"I've always said he's a good player, but he needs to be more consistent, simple as that... and he played well tonight!"

Tottenham have also confirmed that fans won't need a ticket to watch the parade and can bring their own flags and banners.

The club say they will also be handing plenty of flags out to supporters on the day.

So just to confirm, the Tottenham victory parade will start from Edmonton Green at 5.30pm, with entertainment beginning at 3pm.

Spurs have said on their club website the parade is expected to depart Edmonton Green at approximately 5.30pm and follow the route below:

• The Broadway/Fore Street (Southbound)
• High Road (Southbound) past the stadium
• Lansdowne Road (Eastbound)
• Willoughby Lane (Northbound)
• Northumberland Park (Westbound)

"We expect the parade to last between 60-90 minutes, finishing in the stadium’s service yard adjacent to Sainsbury’s on Northumberland Park," the club adds.

"A staging area will be erected above the High Road outside the stadium on Paxton Terrace to receive the players and coaching staff for a presentation of the trophy to fans gathered shortly after the conclusion of the bus parade.

"Ahead of this, we shall be keeping fans entertained with a DJ, live music and Legend Q&As from 3pm."

Tottenham fans. You might want to make sure you're in north London on Friday, 23 May.

During the full-time celebrations James Maddison posed with this poster to back up Ange Postecoglou's second-season trophy claim.

In the early hours of this morning the Tottenham midfielder, who was injured for the final, posted on X: "I always win things in my second season. Bruhhhhhhhh."

He also added three laughing emojis for good measure.

Ange Postecoglou's second-season claim was bold, but it's worked out. And Maddison loves it.
