    Peterborough 0-0 Luton

Now Luton's turn for a corner and much like up the other end, the keeper deals with it well.

It's delivered right in front of goal but the gloves of Nicholas Bilokapic get a punch on it before a visiting head can get a touch on it.

  2. Postpublished at 12:45 British Summer Time 9 August

    Notts County 0-0 Salford City

    Mark Stallard
Former Notts County striker on BBC Radio Nottingham

Notts struggling to get any foothold in this game so far, mainly due to Salford's press.

  3. Postpublished at 12:44 British Summer Time 9 August

    Peterborough 0-0 Luton

A little flurry of corners here for the hosts.

Harley Mills delivers both but neither threaten too much. The first is easily defended out for another and the second is arched up to the back post but Hatters stopper Josh Keeley has no issue in jumping up to collect.

  4. Postpublished at 12:41 British Summer Time 9 August

    Notts County 0-0 Salford City

A slow start between these two sides at Meadow Lane.

You get the feeling they are just trying to suss one another out in these early stages.

  5. Postpublished at 12:41 British Summer Time 9 August

    Tranmere 0-0 Shrewsbury

Good play from Tranmere, working the ball through midfield, down the channel and whipping a cross in for Taylan Harris who shoots low but just wide.

Best chance of the game so far.

  6. Postpublished at 12:39 British Summer Time 9 August

    Reading 0-0 Huddersfield

A good break from Huddersfield and an exchange of passes ends with Ruben Roosken, fresh from signing a new contract, having a shot cleared away.

The ball was initially given away by Reading skipper Lewis Wing in midfield and it's he who gets back to clear the danger.

  7. Postpublished at 12:37 British Summer Time 9 August

    Reading 0-0 Huddersfield

A burst down the left from Reading's Daniel Kyerewaa has Huddersfield scrambling a little to get things clear.

The German has a nice turn of pace and looks full of tricks - could be one to watch this season?

  8. Postpublished at 12:37 British Summer Time 9 August

    Peterborough 0-0 Luton

New Posh signing Brandon Khela is the first take an early effort at goal.

It's on target but a tame effort really and nothing Luton keeper Josh Keeley can't handle.

  9. 'Huddersfield need to sharpen up'published at 12:36 British Summer Time 9 August

    Reading 0-0 Huddersfield

    Matt Glennon
Former Huddersfield keeper on BBC Radio Leeds

We're very early in the game but Huddersfield just need to sharpen up and show the quality we know they have.

The hard work is there but they just need to switch on a bit more.

  10. Postpublished at 12:36 British Summer Time 9 August

    Tranmere 0-0 Shrewsbury

    Jamie Tolley
Former Shrewsbury player on BBC Radio Shropshire

Looks like Tranmere are going to try and play in Shrewsbury half as much as possible and force the visitors to defend, which they will have to do really well.

  11. Postpublished at 12:34 British Summer Time 9 August

    Tranmere 0-0 Shrewsbury

A lively start at Prenton Park with both teams looking strong and making tackles.

Really like the look of this match on paper.

Tranmere have won four of their last six league games against Shrewsbury, with each victory coming via a one goal margin.

  14. Only one side shuffles the deckpublished at 12:28 British Summer Time 9 August

    Tranmere v Shrewsbury (12:30 BST)

Tranmere make two changes, defender Jordan Turnball and last weeks goal scorer Connor Jennings move to the bench. Taylan Harris, on loan from Luton, and Charlie Whittaker are thrown into the mix.

Shrewsbury name an unchanged side to the one that drew 0-0 with Bromley last weekend.

  15. Start fast and finish strong?published at 12:28 British Summer Time 9 August

    Tranmere vs Shrewsbury (12:30 BST)

It was a frustrating start to the new campaign for both Tranmere and Shrewsbury last weekend, and both will be determined to kick-on this afternoon.

Rovers drew with Colchester after conceding a late goal in a match they controlled for almost 90 minutes with good spells in attack.

The Shrews dragged out a goalless stalemate against Bromley and found themselves under intense pressure at the back despite a huge defensive rebuild this summer.

After a rough ride last season, Tranmere will want to prove they still have what it takes to compete in League Two, whilst Shrewsbury will want to show its supporters they’re ready to bounce back to League One after being relegated in 2024-25.

Expect a competitive back-and-forth between these two sides.

  16. Changes for both sidespublished at 12:27 British Summer Time 9 August

Notts County move Kellan Gordan and Conor Michael-Grant to the bench to make way for Ollie Norburn and Keanan Bennetts, down the left side.

Salford City make three changes, with the experienced defender Ollie Turton making his debut after signing for the club less than 24 hours ago. Kelly Nmai and Jay Bird also get their first start of the new season.

  17. Can Magpies build after opener?published at 12:27 British Summer Time 9 August

Notts County v Salford City (12:30 BST)

Both teams are looking for their first win of the season and you could argue Notts County have the upper hand after earning a point on opening weekend.

The Magpies showed good composure to come back from a goal down and draw away to Newport but new head coach Martin Paterson needs to tighten up the back four which looked a little vulnerable at times.

Meanwhile, Salford City were thumped 3-1 at home to Crewe after missing an early penalty and scoring an own goal. Despite the misfires, Karl Robinson’s men showed promise going forward and could give the home side some problems today.

Jeriel Dorsett is missing from today's Reading squad as Noel Hunt makes four changes.

Ben Elliott, Mamadi Camara and Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan are among the substitutes while Liam Fraser, Paddy Lane, Matty Jacob and Daniel Kyerewaa are handed starts.

Huddersfield make three changes from the side which disposed of Leyton Orient on the opening day.

Lasse Sorensen, Ruben Roosken and Joe Taylor come into the starting line-up with Sean Roughan and Lyndon Gooch dropping to the bench while Marcus Harness has failed to recover from a knock picked up in the win over Orient.

New signing Jerry Yates makes his debut for Luton Town as part of a double change from boss Matt Bloomfield.

Liam Walsh and Nigel Lonwijk are the ones to make way as Shandon Baptiste completes the starting line-up.

Meanwhile hosts Peterborough only have one change from their opening loss.

There's no Declan Frith so in comes Cian Hayes to fill in.

Midfielder Archie Collins also makes the starting line-up despite being added to the transfer list after refusing a new contract.
