  1. 'Frustrated' Hunt seeks home comfortspublished at 12:22 British Summer Time 9 August

Losing a key member of your squad just 24 hours before kicking-off your season is hardly ideal but that's what happened to Reading when Harvey Knibbs completed a move to Charlton.

"It was like Christmas tree lights, wasn't it? It was on, it was off, it was on, it was off," Hunt told BBC Radio Berkshire.

A day later the Royals lost their opener 2-0 at Lincoln.

Kamari Doyle has since come in on loan from Brighton to effectively replace Knibbs and now it's about getting points on the board although they are looking to avoid a third successive home league defeat.

The garden of Huddersfield is lovely by the way - a new manager, 11 new players and an opening day 3-0 romp over Leyton Orient.

Failing to reach even the play-offs last season has caused a major rethink in South Yorkshire and in Lee Grant, plucked from Ipswich's coaching staff, they have a young boss looking to make his mark at a club willing to hand him the tools to do so.

  2. Posh looking for 'strong' home performancepublished at 12:20 British Summer Time 9 August

Luton may have begun life in League One with a win but it wasn't a nerve-settler.

They opened a new season in the third-tier with a 1-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon, decided only be an unfortunate own goal from Dons defender Ryan Johnson.

Though Peterborough fared no better. They lost out 2-1 to a young Cardiff squad after squandering a 1-0 lead.

It extended the Posh's winless run to eight league games (D3 L5) but boss Darren Ferguson believes the success of their season will hinge firmly on how they do at London Road.

"Whenever we've been successful, the home form has been strong," Ferguson told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.

"We've got to be strong at home, we've got to win more at home, we've got to be more aggressive. We have to take the game to Luton, as simple as that."

Leagues One and Two might have to share the stage with the Championship this weekend but that doesn't mean they aren't worth their spotlight.

We've got four games to give us a taster at 12:30 BST, with Luton Town taking a trip to Peterborough to make their Saturday debut for the season after winning the opener against AFC Wimbledon.

Then we've got a whole bunch of action to follow including the play-off showdown that never was between last season's semi-finalists Wycombe Wanderers and Stockport County.

Stay tuned because you won't want to miss this.
