  1. RED CARDpublished at 13:51 British Summer Time 9 August

    Tranmere 2-0 Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury defender Will Boyle is off.

He picks up two yellows in quick succession.

It's a long way back for the Shrews now with 10 men.

Boyle only joined the Shrews from Wrexham in June so not the best start to life with his new club.

  2. 'Frustrating for Posh'published at 13:49 British Summer Time 9 August

    Peterborough 0-1 Luton

    Chris Dowsett
    BBC Radio Cambridgeshire summariser

Well that's really frustrating from a Posh perspective.

It's a decent corner in. I'm not sure I'd say Luton have deserved it but they've taken their chance when they got it.

  3. goal

The Posh have had the better chances but Luton are the ones to make it count.

The Hatters have another corner, which George Saville crosses into Mads Anderson at the back.

The defender rises high and nods it in for his first goal since January 2023. It also happens to be the first on target shot for his club. What a lovely time to do it!

  4. Postpublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 9 August

    Peterborough 0-0 Luton

Luton sold out their away end but their travelling support have been given nothing to reward them for their trip.

George Saville whips in a deep corner for the visitors but it isn't met with anything of note.

Instead the ball goes out of play and the Luton fans dip in volume.

  5. YELLOW CARDSpublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 9 August

    Reading 0-0 Huddersfield

After the Matty Jacob caution, Ryan Ledson and Daniel Kyerewaa get involved and they are also shown yellow cards.

    All seems a little unnecessary.

  6. goal

GOAL: Notts County 0-2 Salford Citypublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 9 August

    Kelly N'Mai (58)

A Notts County back pass that goes terrible wrong, a real mess at the back.

Salford seize upon the mistake, pass it around the box and Kelly N'Mai nudges the ball into the back of the net.

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 13:46 British Summer Time 9 August

    Tranmere 2-0 Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury come out of the traps firing!

Substitute Taylor Perry shoots from the edge of the box and catches the Tranmere keeper on the hop, but Luke McGee is equal to it and tips over the bar.

A good start from the Shrews.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:46 British Summer Time 9 August

    Reading 0-0 Huddersfield

Matty Jacob takes the man, closely followed by the ball as Alfie May tries to wriggle clear.

A second caution of the day for a Reading man - Charlie Savage was the first.

  9. Postpublished at 13:43 British Summer Time 9 August

    Notts County 0-1 Salford City

Back under way at Meadow Lane and Notts might only be one goal down, but they have work to do.

The Magpies didn't feature much at all in the first half and need to find some momentum and play more in the Salford half if they're to find an equaliser.

  10. Postpublished at 13:43 British Summer Time 9 August

    Peterborough 0-0 Luton

Luton midfielder George Saville isn't very happy about Carl Johnston's challenge on teammate Nahki Wells.

There's no card as punishment but Luton are awarded a free kick to try and get the ball moving up the pitch.

  12. Postpublished at 13:41 British Summer Time 9 August

    Reading 0-0 Huddersfield

    This is promising.

Reading are up the other end of the park and Charlie Savage flights a cross for Paddy Lane who heads over.

    That's better boys!

  13. Postpublished at 13:40 British Summer Time 9 August

    Reading 0-0 Huddersfield

Joe Taylor gets in down the left for Huddersfield - he has players to his right but elects to go for goal and Joel Pereira makes a comfortable save.

  14. Postpublished at 13:39 British Summer Time 9 August

    Reading 0-0 Huddersfield

We are finally back under way in Berkshire.

The PA announcer has done his absolute best to inject some life into this - hopefully the players were listening...

  15. Postpublished at 13:37 British Summer Time 9 August

    Tranmere 2-0 Shrewsbury

    Stuart Dunn
Shrewsbury Commentator on BBC Radio Shropshire

I think that triple change from Shrewsbury probably tells you a lot about what boss Michael Appleton thought about their first half performance.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:36 British Summer Time 9 August

    Tranmere 2-0 Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury make a triple change in the middle of the park, but keep a similar formation.

Biggins, Scully and Gilliead are off.

Lloyd, Sang and Perry are on.

    Can they make a difference?

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:35 British Summer Time 9 August

    Peterborough 0-0 Luton

There was a bit of delay as Peterborough took their time coming out but we continue.

There is a change for the second-half as Reuell Walters is replaced by Nigel Lonwijk for the visitors.

  18. SECOND-HALF IN THE 12:30 KICK-OFFSpublished at 13:34 British Summer Time 9 August

    #bbcfootball

Things have got going again at London Road.

Will League One see some goals?

Can Shrewsbury and Notts County make a comeback?

    The second-halves have begun.

  19. 'Start testing the keeper'published at 13:31 British Summer Time 9 August

    HT: Reading 0-0 Huddersfield

    Matt Glennon
Former Huddersfield keeper on BBC Radio Leeds

The quality needs to be better when Huddersfield get forward.

We've got to make better decisions when we're up there and start testing the goalkeeper.

  20. Shrews struggling against 'aggressive' Tranmerepublished at 13:30 British Summer Time 9 August

    Tranmere 2-0 Shrewsbury

    Jamie Tolley
Former Shrewsbury player on BBC Radio Shropshire

Tranmere from the off were very aggressive, throwing in tackles, and hunting in packs.

You have to show you are willing to do that to survive in this league.

It's tough when you are playing against physical teams at this level, but you have to stand up.
