We've got two really good managers and two really good styles of play that will be up against it today.

    #bbcefl

Here's a quick look at this afternoon's match-ups in League Two:

Barrow will be looking to pick up their first point of the 2025-26 season in front of home fans against a tough, title contender, Milton Keynes.

Bromley and Barnet are both looking for their first points of the campaign in this London derby.

Cheltenham face a tough challenge after losing their opener against a buoyant Chesterfield side who won on opening day.

Crawley and Newport are another pair of teams looking for their first win of the new campaign.

Crewe Alexandra and Accrington Stanley enter with strength a bit of form, this could go either way.

Fleetwood will be looking to make it two on the bounce whilst Bristol Rovers are hunting for early points.

Gillingham v Walsall, two unbeaten sides - who will come out on top?

Harrogate and Grimsby both claimed all three points in week one and are looking to build in these early stages of the campaign.

It's newly-promoted Oldham Athletic's first game at home to impress vs Colchester

Both Swindon and Cambridge United are tipped for success this season, but it's the Robins who've had the better start to the season.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 9 August

    Leyton Orient 0-0 Wigan

An early setback for Wigan as James Carragher has picked up an injury and he's replaced by Jon Mellish.

  7. League One updatepublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 9 August

    #bbcfootball

Four minutes in and Burton Albion have already won a penalty.

Veteran David McGoldrick took out JJ McKiernan in the box and gave Jake Beesley the opportunity to put it away.

    The Brewers lead Barnsley 1-0.

  8. Postpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 9 August

    Wycombe 0-0 Stockport

Striker Richard Kone is back in the Wycombe squad after missing out last weekend.

He's on the bench while there are four changes to the starting line up as out go Anders Hagelskjaer, Jack Grimmer, Alex Lowry and Magnus Westergaard.

Into the side come Daniel Harvie, Junior Quitirna, new signing Connor Taylor and Spurs loanee George Abbott

Stockport have made one change from the side which beat Bolton last week with Malik Mothersille dropping to the bench to be replaced by Joseph Olowu.

  9. Postpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 9 August

    Leyton Orient 0-0 Wigan

Leyton Orient make four changes to the side beaten 3-0 at Huddersfield last weekend.

Out go Rarmani Edmonds-Green, Tyreeq Bakinson, Azeem Abdulai and Sonny Perkins.

They are replaced by Ollie O'Neill, Idris El Mizouni, Omar Beckles and Diallang Jaiyesimi.

Wigan have named the same side which started the opening day win over Northampton Town.

Four matches done, plenty of goals.

What do the 15:00 BST's have in store for us? It's time to find out.

  11. 'There is certainly work to do'published at 14:52 British Summer Time 9 August

    FT: Peterborough 0-2 Luton

    Chris Dowsett
    BBC Radio Cambridgeshire summariser

The frustration here is that things never changed throughout the game.

If you are trying to play this tiki-taka football that's fantastic but you do need a certain calibre of player to do that and Posh don't have that.

They're almost refusing to acknowledge that and the second goal is a perfect example of that.

Disappointing, it's still early doors but there is certainly work to do.

  12. Elsewhere in League Onepublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 9 August

AFC Wimbledon will be hoping to bounce back at home after their heartbreaking 1-0 loss due to an own goal to Luton last week, against Lincoln City today.

While Exeter City will also be nursing wounds after a controversial penalty left them seeking a win, they will be looking to rectify that when they welcome Blackpool.

Doncaster Rovers visit Mansfield Town in search of a second win while the Stags look to recover from their 2-1 loss to the Brewers.

Bradford City's re-entry to the third tier has gone swimmingly so far and they'll hope to keep it up on the road to Northampton Town.

Victorious Barnsley will want to see a repeat of their opening match heroics against Plymouth Argyle - minus a red card this time - as they host Burton Albion.

Also successful last week were Rotherham United and Stevenage but only one can come out with another win at Broadhall Way.

  13. Play-off losers want to be winnerspublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 9 August

    Wycombe v Stockport (15:00 BST)

Stockport boss Dave ChallinorImage source, Rex Features

One of these two could easily have been starting their Championship campaign today.

However that's all ifs, buts and maybes now as play-off semi-final defeats by Charlton and Leyton Orient respectively condemned them to another League One slogfest.

Opening day brought contrasting fortunes with a new-look Wycombe beaten at Bradford and a more familiar looking Stockport beating Bolton.

The Chairboys have released the purse strings this summer and only this week paid a reported £500,000 for Bristol Rovers defender Connor Taylor.

They have retained the services of last year's top scorer Richard Kone although he was left out against Bradford as speculation continues to surround his future - you get the feeling until that is settled Wycombe will not be able to fully concentrate.

Record transfer signing Malik Mothersille started his Stockport career with a goal last weekend and with three promotions in six years boss Dave Challinor is expected to have them challenging again.

The Hatters were only a penalty kick away from Wembley last season - anything less will be seen as a backward step this year.

  14. O's look for lift off against dark horse Laticspublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 9 August

Leyton Orient v Wigan (15:00 BST)

Paul Mullin in action for WiganImage source, Rex Features

Last season's play-off final must have seemed an age ago at five o'clock last Saturday as Leyton Orient trooped-off after a chastening 3-0 loss at Huddersfield.

Five of last season's successful squad were on loan and have returned to their parent clubs, prompting a bit of a rebuild under boss Richie Wellens.

Aaron Connolly has been brought in from Millwall to fill the sizeable boots of last season's top scorer, Charlie Kelman, but he'll need the same sort of service to have any chance of replicating his numbers.

Alfie Lloyd has also been added to the O's squad, on loan from QPR, but an injury picked up in training means he misses out today - hopefully not a harbinger of things to come.

Wigan might be this season's dark horses.

In Ryan Lowe they have a proven operator at League One and above and the headline signing of Paul Mullin is surely a statement of intent as was their impressive opening day win over Northampton.

The Latics proved on that day they will not be relying on just Mullin with fellow striker Fraser Murray, fresh from Kilmarnock, on target twice - Wigan are dark horses - you heard it here first and if they aren't then you didn't...

  15. Can versatile Watts make an impact again?published at 14:41 British Summer Time 9 August

    Bolton v Plymouth (15:00 BST)

It was pretty dismal start to Plymouth Argyle's League One journey.

They lost 3-1 to a 10-man Barnsley to open their third-tier campaign but it wasn't all doom and gloom. Argyle may not yet have a first-choice striker but midfielder Caleb Watts found the net in his turn in the role - and it's one he's happy to fulfil.

"I've played second striker before and I think one of my strengths is I'm really versatile," Watts told BBC Sport.

"I've got a skillset that can be effective in a lot of positions. I'm more effective in the 10 role... but if the team needs me to play up front, do a job, I'd love to."

They play Bolton Wanderers this afternoon, a team also hoping for a promotion run but chasing a win after a 2-0 defeat to Stockport County last time out.

  16. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 9 August

    Reading 0-2 Huddersfield

Jack Whatmough's goal 16 minutes from the end and a late Cameron Ashia volley on his EFL debut makes it two wins from two for Huddersfield and a second clean sheet to boot.

Joe Taylor forced Joel Pereira into a couple of saves as well, as the visitors always looked the stronger of the two sides but it took until the 74th minute for Whatmough to stab home a loose ball from a corner.

Youngster Ashia had only been on the field for nine minutes when he superbly steered a volley beyond Pereira for the second to secure the points.

Charlie Savage and Ben Elliott called visiting goalkeeper Owen Goodman into action when the score was only 1-0 but they failed to create enough opportunities.

A second 2-0 reverse for the Royals who look toothless up front and there's some thinking for boss Noel Hunt to do.

  17. Postpublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 9 August

    Tranmere 4-0 Shrewsbury

    Jamie Tolley
Former Shrewsbury player on BBC Radio Shropshire

This didn't turn out how we hoped.

Disappointing from start to finish for Shrewsbury.

There are a number of players, including experienced ones, who will need to have a look at themselves after that.

  18. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 9 August

    Tranmere 4-0 Shrewsbury

One-way traffic at Prenton Park as Tranmere walk all over Shrewsbury to claim all three points, easily.

The visiting Shrews looked inspired in the early stages of the second half, but a red card reduced them to 10 men, and it was a long way back from there.

  19. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 9 August

    Peterborough 0-2 Luton

An improved second half for Luton sees them take a confident 2-0 victory over a Peterborough side who yet again ran out of steam in the final 45 minutes.

Mads Andersen's opener was all of Luton's creation after he rose highest to head in a set piece but the second goal was a Peterborough calamity.

A poor pass from George Nevett back to his keeper ended in Jordan Clark tapping in a simple but, ultimately, devastating second goal to see Posh out of sight and remaining without a win.

  20. 'Brilliantly controlled finish'published at 14:28 British Summer Time 9 August

    Reading 0-2 Huddersfield

    Matt Glennon
Former Huddersfield keeper on BBC Radio Leeds

What a brilliantly controlled finish that is! He just guides it into the bottom corner.

He'll be very pleased with his afternoon.
