  1. Postpublished at 13:40 British Summer Time 23 August

    Newport 1-1 MK Dons

MK Dons float a cross in and Luke Offord is unhindered as he runs on to it but heads well over the bar.

His head ends up in his hands - that was a very good chance.

  2. Postpublished at 13:39 British Summer Time 23 August

    Newport 1-1 MK Dons

Matt Smith gets an early chance to set something up for Newport with a free-kick - he's decent from these sorts of situations.

Oh, gave him the big build up and he drifts it straight into the waiting hands of Craig MacGillivray.

    As you were everyone.

  3. Postpublished at 13:37 British Summer Time 23 August

    Walsall 1-0 Salford

No changes for either side during the half-time break, but it seems Salford have switched their defence to a back-four, which would allow an extra player to get forward.

Karl Robinson will be hoping for some fruit from that decision soon.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:35 British Summer Time 23 August

    Rotherham 0-1 Wigan

Rotherham have made some changes as they enter the second-half chasing.

Jordan Hugill and Liam Kelly are withdrew for Kion Etete and Shaun McWilliams.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:35 British Summer Time 23 August

    Newport 1-1 MK Dons

A change for Newport at the break.

Michael Spellman is off and Joe Thomas gets a run out for the second period.

Some good news for Cheltenham Town fans ahead of their League Two meeting with Barnet this afternoon.

Former Burnley chairman Mike Garlick has completed his purchase of a controlling interest in the club.

"I met some of the board members back in May and visited the stadium and training ground. From that moment on I knew this was the club I wanted to be part of," Garlick told the club website., external

Cheltenham are yet to register a point so far this season.

  8. Morecambe pegged back but fans still buzzingpublished at 13:27 British Summer Time 23 August

    Morecambe 1-1 Altrincham

    Daniel Austin
BBC Sport at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium

As the first-half drew longer Morecambe faded and Altrincham got a foothold in the game, ultimately earning a deserved equaliser through summer signing Jimmy Knowles.

There were doubts over whether the winger was offside, but the goal was allowed to stand.

The home fans could hardly care, less though. The noise level barely dropped throughout the half - they are still simply buzzing to be here, and rightly so.

  9. 'You have to be brave'published at 13:21 British Summer Time 23 August

    HT: Luton 0-0 Cardiff

    Leon Barnett
Former Norwich defender on BBC Radio Norfolk

I think both managers will be surprised that it is still 0-0.

As a manager, you want to keep a clean sheet, but they can get their teams in at half time and get their message across.

I do think you have to be brave and maybe push that defensive line a little bit higher.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:19 British Summer Time 23 August

    Luton 0-0 Cardiff

An entertaining first-half but no goals yet.

Cardiff must have felt like they have been on the front foot in this, but when it comes to threats up top, it is Cardiff stopper Nathan Trott who has kept his side level after denying multiple big strikes from the home side.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:19 British Summer Time 23 August

    Newport 1-1 MK Dons

Boos ring around Rodney Parade as referee Stuart Morland brings an end to the first period.

A stoppage-time penalty, converted by Nat Mendez-Laing, has drawn MK Dons level after the home side led early.

Visiting goalkeeper Craig MacGillivray palmed Habeeb Ogunneye's shot into his net from a narrow angle after six minutes.

Alex Gilbey had an effort cleared off the line for MK Dons before MacGillivray made up for his earlier error by denying Michael Reindorf when through one-on-one.

But much of the talk will surround the award of the spot-kick as Jack Sanders went down at a corner and Stuart Moreland pointed to the spot.

You get the feeling the home fans won't let the official forget their feelings about that decision - still it certainly livened-up proceedings.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:19 British Summer Time 23 August

    Walsall 1-0 Salford

It was a lively start for the home side as Walsall relentlessly attacked the Salford box, but it took half an hour for a breakthrough, and it came from their first shot on target.

The goal came from the head of Harrison Burke who used fellow defender Aden Flint as a disguise.

While all the Salford eyes were fixed on Flint as the prime threat from the corner, Burke slipped in behind and powered the ball past Matthew Young.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:18 British Summer Time 23 August

    Rotherham 0-1 Wigan

Wigan take the lead just before the break.

  14. goal

GOAL Newport 1-1 MK Donspublished at 13:17 British Summer Time 23 August

    Nat Mendez-Laing (45 + 1 min - pen)

Nat Mendez-Laing, to a chorus of boos from the home crowd, slams home the penalty for his first MK Dons goal.

  15. Postpublished at 13:16 British Summer Time 23 August

    Walsall 1-0 Salford

    One minute of added time.

Salford need something before the break.

  16. PENALTY TO MK DONSpublished at 13:16 British Summer Time 23 August

    Newport 1-0 MK Dons

Jack Sanders goes down in the box as an MK Dons corner is swung over.

Referee Stuart Morland points to the spot.

    Home fans are aghast...

  17. 'A hammer blow for Rotherham'published at 13:15 British Summer Time 23 August

    Rotherham 0-1 Wigan

    Robbie Andrews
    BBC Radio Sheffield commentator

Wigan scored late in the first half of this fixture last year and ended up winning the game 1-0.

A real hammer blow for Rotherham to concede at this point in the half, and it was so, so easy for Wigan.

  18. goal

GOAL: Rotherham 0-1 Wiganpublished at 13:15 British Summer Time 23 August

    Sean Raggett (42 mins)

Rotherham score... but not at the right end of the pitch!

After some pressure from the home side, the ball is up the other end to allow Ryan Trevitt to make an attempt at an opener.

Trevitt can't overcome the tight angle though and it's saved by the Rotherham keeper but the stopper can't stop it ricocheting off team-mate Sean Raggett.

  19. Postpublished at 13:14 British Summer Time 23 August

    Rotherham 0-0 Wigan

Rotherham are building to strong finish in this first half.

Wigan's slack passing sees Dan Gore pick up a loose ball and the Millers man tries to sneak it past keeper Sam Tickle.

He can't though. The Wigan stopper has been on his game this afternoon and he maintains his clean sheet... for now.

  20. 'You almost don't want this first half to end'published at 13:13 British Summer Time 23 August

    Luton 0-0 Cardiff

    Leon Barnett
Former Luton defender on BBC Three Counties Radio

You almost don't want the first half to end, it's been end-to-end, and there's been quite a lot of action.

It's probably the goalkeepers who have kept both sides in the game.
