  1. Postpublished at 13:12 British Summer Time 23 August

    Newport 1-0 MK Dons

    Close again for MK Dons.

This time it's a header from Jack Sanders which bounces just wide of the post.

  2. Postpublished at 13:11 British Summer Time 23 August

    Rotherham 0-0 Wigan

Marvin Kaleta does all the work to thread his way through the Wigan defence but when he makes the delivery into the box, Latics keeper Sam Tickle doesn't break a sweat in coming to collect.

  3. GREAT SAVES!published at 13:10 British Summer Time 23 August

    Luton 0-0 Cardiff

That little chat on the sidelines has invigorated Luton.

Nahki Wells takes aim but Bluebirds keeper Nathan Trott is able to make the save before coming to the visitor's aid yet again when Lasse Nordas flashes one at goal.

Wells' volley is a messy one but Nordas and George Saville's earlier strike carried some real threat. Superb stuff from the stopper.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:09 British Summer Time 23 August

    Walsall 1-0 Salford

Rosaire Longelo receives the ball on the right side as Salford look to regain some momentum, and dashes past Vincent Harper.

Harper loses him and resorts to a good ol' shirt pull.

Ref isn't having it and brandishes the first yellow card of the match.

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 13:06 British Summer Time 23 August

    Luton 0-0 Cardiff

George Saville's strike is menacing but Cardiff keeper Nathan Trott is up to scratch. Even with a tiny deflection, Trott gets on to it to deny the Luton midfielder.

  6. 'We're such a threat from set-pieces'published at 13:06 British Summer Time 23 August

    Walsall 1-0 Salford City

    Dan Cox
Defender for Walsall on BBC Radio WM

Brilliant ball in and he's unmarked in the six-yard box, he's done well to lose his man and win the header.

We're such a threat from set-pieces and we've shown it there!

  7. Postpublished at 13:06 British Summer Time 23 August

    Newport 1-0 MK Dons

Craig MacGillivray to the rescue for MK Dons.

The visitors lose the ball on the halfway line and Bobby Kamwa feeds Michael Reindorf who is clean through but the MK goalkeeper is out to make a crucial block.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:04 British Summer Time 23 August

    Luton 0-0 Cardiff

There's a pause in play as Cardiff's David Turnbull receives some treatment and Luton's players are getting some instructions from the dug-out. The Bluebirds are taking charge of this match and it's not pretty viewing for Hatters boss Matt Bloomfield.

Turnbull can't play on and it means we will see Joel Colwill join his brother Rubin on the pitch.

  9. Postpublished at 13:02 British Summer Time 23 August

    Newport 1-0 MK Dons

More Newport defending and a shot from Nat Mendez-Laing is blocked by the massed ranks of black and amber shirts.

MK Dons are really cranking up the pressure - can the Welshmen hold out until the break?

  10. goal

GOAL: Walsall 1-0 Salfordpublished at 13:02 British Summer Time 23 August

    Harrison Burke (31 mins)

    We have a breakthrough!

A corner from the left hand side is whipped in and just as all the Salford eyes were on the man-mountain Aden Flint, Harrison Burke comes hurtling in to head it home.

    Old-school.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 13:01 British Summer Time 23 August

    Rotherham 0-0 Wigan

Jordan Hugill is close to netting a header following a Recce James cross but Latics keeper Sam Tickle makes himself big to get his fingertips on it.

  12. Off the linepublished at 13:01 British Summer Time 23 August

    Newport 1-0 MK Dons

Nik Tzanev has to palm away a Nat Mendez-Laing cross and it drops to Alex Gilbey just inside the box.

His thunderous shot is brilliantly cleared off the line with the goalkeeper still on the floor.

  13. Postpublished at 12:58 British Summer Time 23 August

    Walsall 0-0 Salford

Walsall's Aaron Pressley shows some class as his skill leaves Josh Austerfield spinning, but his through ball is nowhere near good enough for Jamie Jellis to run onto.

Blimey, a goal from that would have been quite a sight.

  14. Postpublished at 12:58 British Summer Time 23 August

    Luton 0-0 Cardiff

Callum Robinson spots Luton keeper Josh Keeley veering off his line and tries to punish it with a long-range shot from near the halfway line.

It nearly catches Keeley out but he gets back soon enough to parry the shot out of play and, most importantly, out of his net.

  15. Postpublished at 12:56 British Summer Time 23 August

    Luton 0-0 Cardiff

Cardiff defender Will Fish has to think quickly as a ball is looped up towards a Luton player in the box but Fish gets to it first to see it out of danger.

Luton then have another try as Lasse Nordas sends in a strong header towards goal but straight into the arms of the Bluebirds keeper.

  16. 'Saddlers well in control'published at 12:55 British Summer Time 23 August

    Walsall 0-0 Salford City

    Andrew Dawkins
    BBC Radio WM commentator

The Saddlers are well in control, they haven't looked troubled other than one chance on the break for Salford, which Myles Roberts did very well to handle.

The game has just faded a bit, but the Saddlers are not in any danger.

  17. Postpublished at 12:55 British Summer Time 23 August

    Newport 1-0 MK Dons

Newport have all but one player behind the ball and Liam Kelly leathers an effort at goal which is blocked.

A follow up from Nat Mendez-Laing is deflected wide for a corner from which Callum Paterson heads over the bar.

  18. Postpublished at 12:53 British Summer Time 23 August

    Rotherham 0-0 Wigan

Another opportunity for Wigan's Joe Hungbo from a Fraser Murray cross but the winger isn't able to put it away.

  19. Postpublished at 12:52 British Summer Time 23 August

    Newport 1-0 MK Dons

Both sides want to get the ball down and spray it around on a good surface.

You do just get the feeling Newport are at full stretch when MK Dons come forward but they continue to lead through that fortuitous early Habeeb Ogunneye goal - his first in senior football.

  20. Postpublished at 12:51 British Summer Time 23 August

    Luton 0-0 Cardiff

What a breathless point of the game this is.

Shortly after Nahki Wells misses his chance at one end, it's up the other for Callum Robinson to give it a go.

Like Wells though, Robinson can't land his shot and Turnbull's follow-up is blocked out.
