It is a real interesting choice being made here by Julien Lopetegui to replace Michail Antonio for Danny Ings. Ings is a great finisher so he just needs a chance. He will offer a different threat, getting in behind the centre backs and looking to combine with the wide players.

Chelsea make the first change of the game. Noni Madueke is replaced by Mykhailo Mudryk.

Then Newcastle make three. Harvey Barnes, Miguel Almiron and Sandro Tonali go off.

Newcastle just can't build up any sustained periods of possession.

They look like mounting a good move into the Chelsea area, but Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo are all over them in the middle before they lose the ball and Cole Palmer mounts yet another counter-attack.

Ange Postecoglou has seen enough and is going to make some changes.

James Maddison, Mikey Moore and Yves Bissouma make way for Richarlison, Timo Werner and Pape Sarr.

Another nice bit of play from Chelsea. Pedro Neto swings the ball in from the left-hand side and it's met by Malo Gusto in the middle, but he doesn't manage to hit the target with his header.

There you go, the West Ham fans are liking what they are seeing. Julen Lopetegui is in his technical area encouraging his side and they are responding. The noise is getting louder.

West Ham have been much better in this half. Michail Antonio whips in a low cross for Emerson six-yards out from goal but he scuffs his effort.

Big opportunity.

Well, there's the first Newcastle attempt of the first half.

Alexander Isak plays a cross towards the far post which ends up being dangerous and Wesley Fofana has to react quickly to head it off the line.

Eberchi Eze's scuffed cross somehow finds Ismaila Sarr but his effort is parried away by Guglielmo Vicario. It drops to Daniel Munoz but he can't get his effort on target.

Palace have had so many chances here and Eze himself skews an effort wide.

Newcastle are nowhere to be seen in the second half. It's all Chelsea, they're playing some tidy football and attacking with real aggression.
