  1. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:48 British Summer Time 28 August

Starting to get back under way in the other matches.

Still all square between West Ham and Bournemouth and Wimbledon and Ipswich. Will we see a winner or are we heading to penalties?

  2. CLOSE!published at 20:46 British Summer Time 28 August

    Nottm Forest 0-1 Newcastle

Fantastic free-kick into the box by Nottingham Forest. It just evades two of their players before Taiwo Awoniyi heads over at the back post.

    Good chance for the hosts.

Now what a goal that is!

First of all, the pass from Daniel Podence with the outside of his right foot is sublime. He splits the Burnley defence open and Goncalo Guedes is able to race through on goal.

Full of confidence after his goal, Guedes does a lovely little dink over Vaclav Hladky.

    Just in...

Wolves are in advanced talks over a £21m move for Fluminense midfielder Andre.

The Midlands club would pay an initial £18.5m with a further £2.5m payable in add-ons.

The 23-year-old won Copa Libertadores in 2023, South America’s equivalent of the Champions League, and has publicly admitted to being keen on a move to the Premier League.

But he saw a move to Fulham fall through earlier in the transfer window.

Bruno Guimaraes is getting man marked by Jota which has definitely stopped Newcastle playing their useful way. I’d be surprised if Howe doesn’t change it at half time.

  6. Postpublished at 20:41 British Summer Time 28 August

    Nottm Forest 0-1 Newcastle

Harvey Barnes drives a low ball across the face of goal as Newcastle attack, but there's no team-mates there to turn it in.

Five minutes to go until the break.

  7. Postpublished at 20:41 British Summer Time 28 August

    Wolves 1-0 Burnley

The second half has started like the first. It's all a bit slow and boring if I'm being honest.

Burnley need to up the intensity if they're to have any chance of reaching the third round.

  8. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:38 British Summer Time 28 August

    Wolves 1-0 Burnley

We're back under way for the second half at Molineux.

Scott Parker looks to his bench as Connor Roberts, Lucas Pires and Tommy McDermott come on for CJ Egan-Riley, Hannibal Mejbri and Bashir Humphreys.

Newcastle have not put a range of passes together since the goal, they have got to settle it down.

  10. Postpublished at 20:35 British Summer Time 28 August

    Nottm Forest 0-1 Newcastle

This game got off to a fast start and there were chances for both sides after Joe Willock's early goal, but the pace has dropped off a little bit in the last few minutes.

Boos from the home fans as that controversial goal gives Brentford the lead at half-time.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 28 August

    AFC Wimbledon 1-1 Ipswich

    Kieran McKenna reactsImage source, Reuters

Kieran McKenna is looking a bit more stressed than he would've liked at the sound of the half-time whistle after Wimbledon leveled late in the half.

Ipswich made a dream start after Ali Al Hamadi scored after three minutes but the Premier League failed to capitalise on their early lead.

Is there an upset on the cards?

  13. Colwill scores in front of Bellamypublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 28 August

    HT: Cardiff City 1-2 Southampton

    Ian Mitchelmore
BBC Sport Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium

It's been a very lively encounter here in south Wales so far and Southampton have a slender 2-1 lead, despite having had around 72% of the possession.

The visitors will feel a third would kill off the tie, but while they trail by just the one, Erol Bulut's side remain right in it.

It's also worth noting that Wales boss Craig Bellamy is in attendance, and, fresh from being left out of the Wales squad for Nations League games against Turkey and Montenegro, Rubin Colwill scored an absolute screamer for the Bluebirds.

  17. CLOSE!published at 20:32 British Summer Time 28 August

    West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth

Great chance for Bournemouth just before the break as Dango Ouattara - denied a winner in stoppage time by VAR against Newcastle at the weekend - flicks an acrobatic effort at goal but Lukasz Fabianski pushes the strike away.

  18. goal

GOAL - Colchester 0-1 Brentfordpublished at 20:30 British Summer Time 28 August

    Keane Lewis-Potter (45 mins)

It's a controversial one but the Premier League side won't care.

Kevin Schade wins the ball inside Colchester's box but it looks like a foul on the defender.

Everyone stops and even Schade expected a free-kick to be given.

The only one who doesn't is Keane Lewis-Potter and he pounces on the loose ball, poking it over the line from close range.

    Colchester are furious.

  19. Postpublished at 20:30 British Summer Time 28 August

    Colchester 0-0 Brentford

A few minutes to go until half-time and Colchester are trying to get something before the break.

Ben Mee clears a shot from Harry Anderson.

  20. Postpublished at 20:28 British Summer Time 28 August

    West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth

Four minutes to go until half time and West Ham have their first shot on target - Niclas Fullkrug directing a tame header at Neto.
