These late games in Germany don't kick off until 9pm local time, so that's a lot of the day to spend counting down the hours until it is time to head to the stadium.

In Hamburg, many of the fans that arrive here head to the harbour front to while away the afternoon, but others gather in the fan zone close to St Pauli's stadium.

Today there have been lots of Turkey and Czech Republic fans around, posing photos in front of giant footballs or playing the variety of games including 'beat the RoboKeeper' which actually did an excellent job of saving a large number of shots I saw.

You can also sample cuisines from the various countries competing here, and it was interesting to see what was proving popular.

Croatian food was by far the popular choice here. Although, at the other end of the below row of food stalls, fish and chips was doing a roaring trade.

    The job has been done.

The big games will come and that is where you have your big players need to perform. Today he [Portugal boss Roberto Martinez] will play the players that have not got many minutes – it’s a good opportunity to participate and to contribute.

    Another opportunity for the boys.

The big news as far as Czech Republic is concerned is that their star striker Patrik Schick is only fit enough for a place on the bench.

Mojmír Chytil instead leads the attack as Antonin Barak also comes in.

  6. Who needs what?published at 19:03 British Summer Time 26 June

    Group F

Portugal are through to the last 16 as group winners.

Turkey just need a point against the Czech Republic to go through. It is also possible for them to qualify with a defeat.

The scenario for the Czechs is quite simple. A win takes them through but anything else sees them knocked out. It is the exact same situation for Georgia - win or bust.
