Last season's League One play-off final winners Oxford United welcome Scott Parker's Burnley to the Kassam Stadium this afternoon.

This will be the 15th meeting in the EFL between the U's and Burnley and the first since April 2000 when Burnley won 2-1.

The Clarets have won four games so far this season, drawing and losing one time each too. Whereas all three of Oxford United's wins have come at home this campaign, currently residing in the top half of the Championship table.

Burnley have won each of their last two league games against Oxford United and will be looking to record three in succession for the first time.

  2. Tigers aim to bite Bulutless Bluebirdspublished at 14:51 British Summer Time 28 September

Hull City v Cardiff (15:00 BST)

After picking up their first win under new boss Tim Walter at Stoke last time out, Tigers fans will be hoping to follow it up at home to lowly Cardiff.

Hull City have won each of their last six league games against the Bluebirds – their longest current winning streak against any EFL side.

If they can win today it will be a fourth straight home win over Cardiff, something they have never done, and make it back-to-back wins for the first time since February.

The winless visitors have taken just one point from their past eight games and have made their worst start to a campaign in 52 years, costing boss Erol Bulut his job last Sunday.

Interim boss Omer Riza will seek to turn the tide on Humberside this afternoon.

Portsmouth v Sheff Utd (15:00 BST)

It's been a difficult start to Portsmouth's first season back in the second tier since 2012.

They're yet to win a game and saw a 1-0 lead over Burnley end in a heartbreaking injury-time defeat last week.

They do boast a good record against today's opponents though, with just one defeat from their past 10 meetings at Fratton Park.

However, their most recent meeting was all the way back in 2013.

Sheffield United are yet to taste defeat this season and have already won more league games this season (four) than they did in the entire of the last campaign (three).

  5. Clouds on the horizon for Sky Blues?published at 14:47 British Summer Time 28 September

    Leeds v Coventry (15:00 BST)

Coventry City's 3-2 win over Leeds on 6 April last season put a massive spanner in the Whites' bid for automatic promotion and boosted their own top six hopes.

However, the Sky Blues then failed to win any of their final six league games, as the FA Cup semi-final with Manchester United took their attention and their energy.

It's been a VERY slow start to this season too and they come into today's game at Elland Road with just one victory from their opening six matches.

Hosts Leeds, who ultimately finished third and lost in the play-off final last season, will be aiming to close the gap to the top two with three points today.

The Whites haven't made the kind of start some pundits had predicted but have kept clean sheets in four of their opening half-dozen Championship outings.

  8. 'Job done for Canaries'published at 14:38 British Summer Time 28 September

    FT: Derby 2-3 Norwich

    David Fox
Former Norwich City midfielder on BBC Radio Norfolk

Norwich have got the job done!

Norwich were in control for large periods, but the game became carnage in the last five minutes of each half.

The game was done at 3-1, there was no need for the game to get to this point. But an important big save from Angus Gunn at the end was crucial.

There is lots to like about this team, but lots of improvements still to make.

  9. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 28 September

    Derby 2-3 Norwich

Derby are beaten at Pride Park for the first time since 27 February.

This was an absolutely pulsating Championship clash settled by Borja Sainz's hat-trick but with talking points galore.

You could certainly craft an epic novel out of these 90 minutes - Sainz and Sensibility, perhaps?

The opening goal on the stroke of half-time was beautifully finished but Josh Sargent had crossed the ball beyond the dead ball line.

Craig Forsyth levelled for Derby on his 300th appearance for the club but Sainz's second was a fizzer and he added a close-range third before Corey Blackett-Taylor teed-up that grandstand finish with an angled finish.

    ... and breathe.

    Derby 2-3 Norwich

Utter chaos. Jacob Zetterstrom the Derby keeper goes up for a free-kick which actually drops to him 20 yards out. He tries to turn his man but gets robbed, only for Derby to recover the ball before Norwich can get a shot at goal.

  11. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:28 British Summer Time 28 September

    Blackburn 2-0 QPR

Three points for Blackburn Rovers who maintain their 100% league record at home this season.

QPR struggled early on in the second half, down a man and the quality of substitute Todd Cantwell really pushed Rovers on.

The visitors did well though to keep the score down to two after at one point it looked as if the floodgates could have opened.

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 14:28 British Summer Time 28 September

    Derby 2-3 Norwich

Derby win a corner which leads to the mother of all goalmouth scrambles.

Norwich half-clear but the ball is swung back in by Nathan Harness for Kayden Jackson whose snap-shot on the turn is brilliantly saved by Angus Gunn.

    Truly superb reactions.

How those Ipswich connections would have loved that goal to go in.

Two minutes of added time to come.

  13. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:26 British Summer Time 28 September

    Sheff Wed 3-2 West Brom

Wednesday win for the first time since the opening day as the table-topping Baggies see their unbeaten start end in dramatic circumstances!

The home side were sitting pretty at the break thanks to an own goal from Darnell Furlong and Josh Windass' header.

The Baggies pulled one back through Josh Maja's seventh of the season and sub Alex Mowatt's late goal looked to have earned them a share of the spoils.

However, just moments later fellow replacement Anthony Musaba popped up to score from close range and give the Owls a much-needed win.

  15. goal

GOAL Derby 2-3 Norwichpublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 28 September

    Corey Blackett-Taylor (90+1 min)

A perfect sliding challenge from Eiran Cashin prevents a Norwich attack, the ball is worked forward and Corey Blackett-Taylor jinks some space on the left to fire an angled shot across Angus Gunn and into the far corner.

It's Norwich's turn to feel aggrieved as they think James Collins was impeding Gunn.

    Nothing doing, however.

Six minutes remaining for the hosts to snatch a point.

The kind of game you don't want to end... (unless you're a Norwich fan!)

  16. INJURY TIMEpublished at 14:21 British Summer Time 28 September

GOAL Derby 1-3 Norwichpublished at 14:20 British Summer Time 28 September

    Borja Sainz, hat-trick (87 mins)

Borja Sainz celebratesImage source, Getty Images

It's three for Borja Sainz, six in six games, and this caps a devastating counter from Norwich.

It's controversial again as Norwich look to have cleared the ball up field after it had crossed the byline at the other end.

The Canaries don't care, Josh Sargent is freed down the left, Norwich have three-on-one and the American slides the ball into the middle with the outside of his foot for Sainz to prod underneath Jacob Zetterstrom and watch the ball trickle over the line...

    That is surely that.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 14:19 British Summer Time 28 September

    Derby 1-2 Norwich

Ironic cheers from the Rams faithful as Kayden Jackson is awarded a free-kick after going down under pressure from Callum Doyle.

The free-kick is 25 yards out and pretty central. Kenzo Goudmijn takes it right footed but Angus Gunn tips the ball away from the bottom right corner.

  20. West Brom 'thrown it away'published at 14:19 British Summer Time 28 September

    Sheffield Wed 3-2 West Brom

    Tony 'Bomber' Brown
West Brom's all-time leading goalscorer on BBC Radio WM

Albion have done the hard work, they got themselves back into the game and they have thrown it away.

All the hard work gone to waste!
