  2. 'I took it very seriously'published at 16:46 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    FT: Man Utd 3-0 Leicester

    Manchester United

More from Ruud van Nistelrooy: "You saw the class of the team in our goals, we also gave very little away.

"We tried to stabilise after a difficult and emotional period. We wanted to get players performing at their best, we got the right feeling to them and got them believing in themselves.

"This spell was a big responsiblity, I took it very seriously. I wanted to help and get United into a better place, that was my goal. With three wins and a draw it's a standard where you want to grow to as a club.

"The connection with the fans was there, I really felt it. This is what United is really about."

  3. 'Fernandes is back producing and helping the team'published at 16:44 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

Manchester United interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy to BBC Sport: "It was professional, you could see that players were fighting through the game. We scored two great goals and there were some good bits but we didn't have real control of the game.

"It was an important three points. In the four games Bruno scored some important goals, assisting too so he is back producing. That's the Bruno that is helping the team the most.

"I spoke to Alejandro Garnacho before the game, he has played a lot of minutes and I wanted him to make an impact off the bench and I'm glad it worked out. We said 'let's make the most of these four games', get the maximum out of it and I think we did an OK job.

"I really enjoyed it, it's been a short but amazing period. We are in an uncertain position but we tried to do our jobs and help the club which is important.

"There are a lot of feelings there, the way the fans supported me and the team always in difficult moments it was a special moment. To close down this block of games with good results and a good connection I can't thank them enough.

"We will learn what the further plan is now."

  5. 'It's very painful'published at 16:37 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    FT: Tottenham 1-2 Ipswich

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham captain Son Heung-min: "It’s very disappointing. Before they scored we had a couple of chances. We conceded a very sloppy goal that shouldn’t happen. It’s more than disappointing.

"Sometims you have to be calm and find a better solution if someone is in a better position. We have to be better in those kind of situations. It’s very painful."

  6. 'Today is a lesson for us to learn'published at 16:34 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    FT: Nottingham Forest 1-3 Newcastle

    Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo to BBC Sport: "I cannot say that was a bad performance, that is totally out of the question. We played against a very good team that was able to control us and then hurt us in the way we've been doing. It is a lesson for us to learn.

"I just have to recognise that today we played a good team, who were better than us in many, many moments. There's nothing to say about the players, the character and belief was there.

"I always say that we should enjoy and be proud of the way we are operating as a club. We want to grow in a very tough competition. We don't want to create an obligation of us. We are focusing on ourselves and improving as a team. We are going to regroup and go again and ignoring the same things: the table and the noise around us.

"We are very proud that our players go to international duty, it's recognition of their talents. We just hope they return healthy and there's time for them to recover from things they have been dragging."

  7. 'It’s a massive moment, one to cherish'published at 16:32 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    FT: Tottenham 1-2 Ipswich

    Ipswich Town

Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna told BBC Sport: "So proud. It's been a long time for the club, 22 years since the supporters saw a win in the Premier League. The journey to get to here has been a big one. It feels a bit special today. We believe we’ve been improving. We’ve picked up five out of 10 results but were waiting for the first win to validate the work and improvements. It’s a massive moment, one to cherish.

"The first half it was everything [you'd want] for a team in our context against Tottenham. A good balance. Moments where we played a a good tempo and moments where we slowed it down.

"A top half away from home. In the second half we showed good resilience. We didn’t give away too many chances. We defended well and were a threat on the break. A top performance.

"It was really important [to hang on]. If we’d conceded at the end it would have been a big blow. To get one over the line like that we’ve deserved for quite a few weeks. A big boost for everyone.

"The players are delighted. They know it’s a win to cherish."

On Ed Sheeran: "He popped into the dressing room which is nice. We’re wearing the third kit he had a part in designing."

  8. 'We taste something today that we have been doing'published at 16:29 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    FT: Nottingham Forest 1-3 Newcastle

    Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo to Sky Sports: "We played a good team and they played really well, they were strong. We started well and controlled the first half, even though they created problems. We had a good chance before their first goal and then through the second half it became more difficult. There was less space when we were level and then the counter-attack was vital for Newcastle.

"We rushed a little bit in our decisions and started putting crosses into the box and allowing Newcastle to create danger. That is normal when you're losing. There are a lot of lessons for us. We taste something today that we've been doing this season with the counter-attack and taking advantage of speed. They have very good players and we suffered there.

"It is a lesson for us. We cannot say anything about our players. We gave everything that we have. We have to recognise today that Newcastle were the better team. They were very effective. We have to be proud of our effort against a good team. It is a very, very good league."

Ugarte MOTM for me. Nice to see him finally come into his game after a tough start. Garnacho and Bruno answering their critics also a wonderful thing to see. Impressive run since the sacking but I wouldn’t start shouting about it yet. It’s all about consistency. We need to repeat these kind of results and runs when we play the likes of Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Arsenal etc. Pleased with the result and the form, let’s hope Amorim can keep it going.

  10. 'We fell short'published at 16:25 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    FT: Man Utd 3-0 Leicester

    Leicester City

    Leicester CityImage source, Reuters

More from Steve Cooper, to Sky Sports: "It was a fairly even game in general play but in decisive moments we didn't defend well enough. We had good phases in the game but you have to be productive at both ends of the pitch.

"We weren't the threat we are capable of being, we fell short. Jamie Vardy has a back injury and we will have to see how he is, but Ricardo Pereira is out for three or four months."

  11. 'I'm trying to find room for Barnes in team'published at 16:24 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    FT: Nottingham Forest 1-3 Newcastle

    Newcastle United

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe talking to BBC Sport: "It was difficult but we knew it would be. They are a difficult team to play against because they don't concede many chances and you're left fearing the worse when you go behind. We had work to do at half-time but credit to the players because the second half was up there with our best performances this season.

"Everything we didn't do in the first half we did at the start of the second half. We were intense and direct with our attacking. We asked more questions and could have scored. I'm really pleased with the second half.

"We need our attacking players to contribute goals and Alex [Isak] has done that in the past few weeks with massive moments, then Joelinton and Harvey Barnes pop up with moments too. We know we have players who can make that difference and I'm really pleased with that side of our game.

"Harvey Barnes did what he does. He's an outstanding player. Trying to find room for him in the team is something that I am conscious of. I'm really pleased he got that goal - I thought it was a fantastic finish."

  12. 'Garnacho has lost faith from some fans'published at 16:22 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    Manchester United

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes to BBC Sport: "It was a good day at work, I have to say. We have a lot of players with big qualities, but people can get too excited after one game and too down after another.

"Garnacho scored a banger but didn't celebrate like he should because he thinks he has lost faith from some fans. I told him people will always moan but lots of people like you and enjoy what you do.

"I told him to celebrate, it was something special. He is a special player, we have difference makers. They are the ones who win us games. We want them to score every game but that isn't going to happen.

"The Fantasy managers won't be happy with you guys taking that goal off me."

  13. 'We can't just say we missed Vardy'published at 16:21 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    FT: Man Utd 3-0 Leicester

    Leicester City

Leicester manager Steve Cooper to BBC Sport: "The result will paint the picture but in the end we didn't show enough desire in either penalty area. We let two unopposed shots from outside the area for the goals.

"Two of the goals have come from our corners as well which is frustrating. It wasn't a dangerous position but we made it dangerous. At the other end we got into good areas but didn't show that same desire.

"Our general play was fine but in the end we didn't have the purpose. We had good spells, we were in the game, it didn't feel like they were going to score the next goal.

"We can't just say we missed Jamie Vardy, we can't be reliant on that."

  14. 'It means so much'published at 16:20 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    FT: Tottenham 1-2 Ipswich

    Ipswich Town

Ipswich striker Liam Delap to Sky Sports: “It means so much. We’ve put in so many great performances and just lacked that final bit. The performance was terrific. This is a horrible place to come. We couldn’t be happier.

“The manager is so good. He helps us every week. We’ve shown today we can stick to that [plan].”

Team-mate Sam Szmodics: “We knew we had to start fast. It’s a tough place to come. We deserved the goals in the first half. It’s such a tough league.”

  15. 'Second half everything Newcastle want to be'published at 16:19 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    FT: Nottingham Forest 1-3 Newcastle

    Newcastle United

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe talking to Sky Sports: "Hopefully they are a significant three points for us. We desperately didn't want to fall flat today. It is a tough ground and team to play and to come from behind as well, it's a really good day for us.

"I felt we were slightly inconsistent - I wasn't that happy with our first-half performance. It was a bit slow and not direct enough. The passing was a bit sidewards. Credit to the players for the second half because that is everything we want to be. I thought we deserved to win.

"I wanted to see more energy and more sprinting and more direct duels. We were turning down opportunities to attack and that isn't like us and it suited Nottingham Forest.

"Joelinton is like gold dust because wherever you put him you know he's going to do a good job. His attitude never changes in training. He's playing in different positions so he has to do the training. I'm really pleased again with his performance.

"The Premier League is really, really tight this season and you need consistent victories and it can really elevate you. Everyone is searching for a formula that guarantees them victories. We've looked much more like ourselves in the past few games. I still feel there is more to come and we can improve, and we've got room to improve."

  16. 'Nothing I can address until I get them back'published at 16:18 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    FT: Tottenham 1-2 Ipswich

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou was asked by Sky Sports about what work he could do over the international break.

"They all go away so there's nothing I can address in the next 13 days until I get them back," he said.

  17. 'It's down to me, I’m not getting consistent performances from the players'published at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    FT: Tottenham 1-2 Ipswich

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou to BBC Sport: "Hugely disappointing. We started slow and passively. We gave ourselves a mountain to climb. Second half we had chances but didn’t do enough to win the game.

"It's just down to me. I’m not getting consistent performances from the players. It’s something I need to address. I’m the person in charge so that’s usually the way it goes. I take responsibility.

"We can’t give ourselves those kind of mountains to climb."

On Ipswich players going down injured regularly: "It seems to be the way the Premier League is going. Clubs are taking strategic time-outs. We just have to cop it. It’s up to the officials not me."

Today is the first time Nottingham Forest have lost a Premier League match having scored first since January last season against Brentford, ending a 13-game unbeaten run when going 1-0 ahead (W8 D5).

  20. 'Newcastle better side when Isak is firing'published at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

    FT: Nottingham Forest 1-3 Newcastle

    Newcastle United

Newcastle United winger Harvey Barnes to Premier League Productions: "You could see it was just a matter of time for Alexander Isak once he scored that he would go on a run. We are a much better side when he's firing. It's great for him to get on the scoresheet again.

"I want to start games. You never want to be on the bench, but when you are, you do everything you can when you come onto the pitch to get back into the team. I can do what I do from the bench from the beginning.

"The league table is so tight. It's nice to move up a few places, but the international break comes at the wrong time for us really because we're on a good run."
