Chesterfield scored two late goals to claim a 3-1 win at home to 10-man Bristol Rovers.
Kyle McFadzean and Armando Dobra scored to deny the visitors an unlikely point.
The hosts were first to threaten when McFadzean's header was tipped over by Luke Southwood.
Rovers' Promise Omochere fired wide from an excellent position before they were reduced to 10 men in the 39th minute when Joel Senior was sent off for fouling Dobra as he advanced towards the area.
Tom Naylor put Chesterfield ahead in the 41st minute when a looping header from Dylan Duffy's deep cross.
Lee Bonis forced a save from Southwood before Rovers went close to levelling when Kamil Conteh lifted his shot just over the bar.
The equaliser did arrive midway through the second half as Isaac Hutchinson got on the end of a ball from Alfie Kilgour and fired into the net from a tight angle.
But McFadzean restored Chesterfield's lead in the 84th minute with a near-post header before Dobra met Liam Mandeville's low cross four minutes later to seal the win.
