Lewis Shipley's goal deep into stoppage time earned Barrow a dramatic 2-1 League Two win, their first of the season after Matty Dennis looked to have earned 10-man Notts County a late equaliser.
Defender Shipley slid in his first goal for the club eight minutes after ex-Carlisle striker Dennis levelled for the unlucky visitors.
Former Nottingham Forest striker Tyler Walker had netted the Cumbrians' first goal of the season after 32 minutes, his own first goal in the Football League since March 2023.
County dominated possession in the second half but suffered a blow when substitute Matty Platt suffered a late game-ending injury.
And having used their three substitute windows, County were unable to bring on their final replacement.
However, Dennis, who scored for Carlisle against Barrow, appeared to have rescued a deserved point, heading home Nick Tsaroulla's cross.
Instead, Barrow, who have not lost a Football League game against the Magpies since 1970, poured forward and Shipley prodded in a memorable winner.
