Bayern Munich have faced just three shots on target in the opening 15 minutes of play in the Champions League this season.

One of them was today, from Hakan Calhanoglu - and even that was blocked.

Harry Kane goes close!

Brilliant Bayern move as Konrad Laimer sets up Michael Olise who dinks in a delightful cross for Kane.

The Englishman has to work very hard to purchase some power, but it's at the expense of accuracy and he heads straight at goalie Yann Sommer.

That is ridiculous. The cross from Gabriel Martinelli comes in, Declan Rice gets there first and Raul Asencio is a yard away and yes it hits his hand but it is not a penalty.

Arsenal are really threatening here as Gabriel Martinelli gets to the byline before cutting a cross back. Thomas Partey has a go from the edge of the box but it's straight at Thibaut Courtois.

Madrid go up the other end and win a corner but there's a VAR check going on for a potential Arsenal penalty.

Inter are starting to get on the ball. Hakan Calhanoglu gets a lot of power behind a strike from range but doesn't trouble Bayern stand-in keeper Jonas Urbig.

Jurrien Timber drops to the deck after feeling some contact from Eduardo Camavinga. Nothing in that for me and the referee agrees.

Can see the possession stats at the end of this one being in the favour of Arsenal, but Madrid won't mind that as they look to use the pace of Rodrygo, Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr on the break.

Inter's Francesco Acerbi goes elbows first as he challenges Harry Kane for a header on the halfway line, and wallops the back of the Englishman's neck. A foul but no card. Kane gives his new bruise a little rub.

Arsenal have started well here. They have been really aggressive, they have been first to the ball and on a couple of set pieces they have gone close. That is their biggest threat in this game.

It's class from Kylian Mbappe to skip beyond Martin Odegaard and find Vinicius Jr. He decides to shoot from the tightest of angles and it flies over the top.

I am looking at the position of Real Madrid on set pieces and they don't look very comfortable. They are zonal and there are several Arsenal players on the move attacking the ball - as a defender you are a sitting duck.

Bayern's Michael Olise is looking lively as he cuts on to his left on the edge of the box and curls an effort narrowly wide.

Bukayo Saka's dangerous in-swinger is dealt with by the Madrid defence and they now look for their first decent spell on the ball but it doesn't last long.
