    WOW!

Who knew Declan Rice could take free-kicks?

He's whipped an absolute beauty around the Real Madrid wall and Thibaut Courtois had no chance.

Make sure you watch the replay for that alone!

Bukayo Saka picks the ball up on the left and runs inside with it while holding off David Alaba.

Alaba does a little too much and brings down Saka in a shooting position..

Inter are properly knocking at the door. Marcus Thuram sets up Lautaro Martinez whose shot from a tight angle is straight at Jonas Urbig.

While Mikel Merino does not offer the full qualities of a number nine him being a natural midfielder there really helped Arsenal on that Madrid counter.

He dropped back very quickly to put pressure on Kylian Mbappe there and allowed Arsenal to get bodies back behind the ball.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:13 British Summer Time 8 April

    Arsenal 0-0 Real Madrid

The first booking of the game goes to Thomas Partey for a cynical shoulder charge on Eduardo Camavinga off the ball.

Typical professional foul. Lautaro Martinez drags a counter-attacking Michael Olise to the floor before he can properly get going.

How many times has Eduardo Camavinga done that tonight?

Martin Odegaard works his way into a dangerous position but there is the Frenchman with a well-timed tackle to snuff out the danger.

Vital tackle from Leon Goretzka. The rest of his team-mates switch off as a quick free-kick almost plays in goalscorer Lautaro Martinez, but the German is across, on the slide, to snuff out the danger.

A couple of niggly fouls from Bayern's defenders gives Inter some respite. And, importantly, it gets them up the field.

Watching with my Real Madrid supporting Spanish girlfriend. If Madrid win I have to wear her Mbappe shirt into the office. Not sure the lads will let me live it down

It's Madrid's turn for a spell on the ball as they look for a way through this sturdy Arsenal defence.

Jude Bellingham threads through Kylian Mbappe but he fires into the side netting.

Liz Tray: This match is playing out exactly how every other one against Real Madrid goes. Play well, can't put the ball in the net, lose. At City's very best (and we were much better than Arsenal are now), we only knocked them out once. It's nearly impossible over two legs.

Bayern have started the second half in control. Since the restart we've played pretty much exclusively in Inter's half.

Even though Bayern dominated the game, I have the feeling that Inter will strike again on the counterattack rather than Bayern scoring. Olise, Sane, Guerreiro and Kane hardly do any defensive work.
