    Coventry 2-0 Stoke

A bright start from Stoke with a Lewis Koumas shot saved and Ali Al-Hamadi's effort blocked but it all went wrong from the 22nd minute.

Victor Torp was allowed to run free onto a Milan Van Ewijk long throw to head home before converting a pass from Tatsuhiro Sakamoto just past the half hour mark.

Josh Eccles has also hit the post for Coventry and Viktor Johansson was fortunate not to concede a penalty for a challenge on Ephron Mason-Clark.

Coventry are heading for a ninth win in 10 games as it stands and Stoke might have a sweaty afternoon watching the other scores come in unless they can turn this one around.

  2. Postpublished at 13:20 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    HT: Watford 1-0 Millwall

Millwall's George Honeyman perhaps just got away with one in the closing moments of the first half.

An off-the-ball trip on Imran Louza appeared to go unnoticed by the referee, which left the Moroccan international in a heap.

Had Gavin Ward seen that, we may well have had the first yellow card of the afternoon.

  3. 'If VAR was here they'd change it'published at 13:19 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Coventry 2-0 Stoke

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

I'm pretty sure if VAR was here they'd change it.

The keeper doesn't make contact with the ball. Surely it's no other decision than a penalty.

This is where you need help from your assistants.

I think Stoke have got away with it.

  4. Postpublished at 13:19 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Coventry 2-0 Stoke

We're into three minutes of time added on but we had a long stoppage for treatment to Ephron Mason-Clark.

  5. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Coventry 2-0 Stoke

Viktor Johansson comes running off his line and cleans-out Coventry's Ephron Mason-Clark - referee David Webb looks and looks again - no penalty.

Stoke boss Mark Robins watches the replay on his screen and gives a wry smile - his side have dodged a bullet there.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:17 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Watford 1-0 Millwall

Watford lead through Mattie Pollock's first Championship goal of the season.

The home side have been well on top for long periods of the game but Millwall might feel aggrieved not to have been awarded a penalty late in the half when Josh Coburn was adjudged to not have been able to keep the ball in play.

Lots for the visitors still to play for but Tom Cleverley will be the happier of the two managers.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 13:16 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Coventry 2-0 Stoke

Josh Eccles picks up the ball on the edge of the area and goes for the far post - he was aiming for inside the post but instead his effort smacks off the woodwork.

That would have put the tin lid on things.

  8. 'Stoke lacking craft since Pearson went off'published at 13:15 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Coventry 2-0 Stoke

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

Stoke seem to be lacking that bit of craft since Ben Pearson went off.

He can see a pass and they just seem to be lacking that in midfield.

  9. Postpublished at 13:13 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Watford 1-0 Millwall

Big call from the referee here as Josh Coburn chases a long ball over the top and tussles with James Abankwah right to the line.

The referee gives a goal kick but the young striker looks to have wrapped his foot around the ball just in time to prevent it going out, before he's taken down by the defender.

If the officials had decided it had stayed in play - we could have been looking at a Millwall penalty there.

  10. Postpublished at 13:11 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Coventry 2-0 Stoke

Jordan Thompson sends a shot into orbit for Stoke to ironic jeers from the home fans.

They seem to have settled things down a bit now.

  11. Postpublished at 13:09 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Watford 1-0 Millwall

Watford are fully on top as we head towards half-time.

If anyone's going to make something happen for Millwall it looks like it's going to be Aidomo Emakhu out on the left, who has had some nice flicks and touches but has found himself isolated out there.

Tom Cleverley will be very pleased but will want to see his players take advantage of this period of pressure and add to their lead.

  12. Postpublished at 13:09 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Coventry 2-0 Stoke

It's gone wrong for Stoke in a spell of nine minutes.

There were furrowed brows among Coventry fans and coaching staff at the slack start they made.

But Victor Torp's double has got many now enjoying the East Midlands sunshine.

Mark Robins is urging his players on but they can't afford to concede a third.

  13. 'A tremedmous goal'published at 13:04 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Coventry 2-0 Stoke

    Rob Gurney
    BBC Radio CWR Sport

    That was a tremedmous goal.

Sakamoto with great close control. Enda Stevens couldn't get close to him and it's a great cut back for Torp.

  14. Postpublished at 13:03 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Watford 1-0 Millwall

Watford go straight in search of a second as Jeremy Ngakia cuts in and shoots but it's easily saved by Lukas Jensen.

The hosts have kept it alive though and at the moment Millwall can't get on the ball.

  15. 'A real high quality goal'published at 13:03 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Coventry 2-0 Stoke

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

It's a real high quality goal.

Great work from Sakamoto and Torp fires it in.

It's a difficult take for Torp who side foots it in.

    A brilliant goal.

    Victor Torp (31 mins)

    At the double.

Tatsuhiro Sakamoto picks up a Stoke defensive header and bursts to the edge of the area where he squares it to Victor Torp who calmly slots home for his second goal of the day and a sixth of the season.

It's a long way back for Stoke now.

  17. Postpublished at 13:00 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Coventry 1-0 Stoke

Without wishing to hammer home the point - it's Lewis Koumas who allows Victor Torp to run off him for the Coventry goal.

It's a harsh lesson for the youngster.

  18. goal

    Mattie Pollock (30 mins)

    It's been coming!

Mamadou Doumbia and Moussa Sissoko go close for the hosts and the goal comes from the resulting corner.

Imran Louza whips a great ball into the six-yard box and it goes all the way through to be headed in by Mattie Pollock at the back stick.

A good spell from the hosts ends in a deserved lead.

  19. Postpublished at 12:58 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Coventry 1-0 Stoke

Coventry are knocking it around nicely now.

It was a rough start for them and that goal has rocked Stoke - no-one tracks Victor Torp's run for the goal.

It might be a training ground routine for the home side but the visitors can almost claim an assist for the lack of marking.

  20. 'A terrific header from Torp'published at 12:55 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Coventry 1-0 Stoke

    Rob Gurney
    BBC Radio CWR Sport

    It's a terrific header.

It's looks like something they've worked on in training.

Torp is not known for his heading and Johansson does get a hand to it.

It's against the run of play but City take the lead.
