  1. Postpublished at 20:44 British Summer Time 2 October

So, only goals - of the variety in the correct net - at the Bet365 then, so far...

Sheffield United won't care about the difference, mind.

  2. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:37 British Summer Time 2 October

    Bristol City 0-0 Sheff Wed

    MASSIVE SAVE FROM JAMES BEADLE!

Bristol City's Joe Williams sizzles a shot towards goal and, while it doesn't have much pace, it's twirling through the air on target.

Beadle has to dive across to push the ball away before it finds the net.

    Bristol City warming up now.

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:37 British Summer Time 2 October

    Stoke 3-1 Portsmouth

Tom Cannon has his first two Stoke goals, Sam Gallagher got his first on his full debut, the Potters have been scintillating for the majority of the half and might well have had more goals to show for it too.

Pompey endured a torrid end to the half having got themselves back into the game against the run of play through Mark O'Mahony's simple finish to cap a lightning break from Josh Murphy.

    Very watchable indeed.

  4. 'Stoke absolutely brilliant'published at 20:34 British Summer Time 2 October

    Stoke 3-1 Portsmouth

    Mike Pejic
Former Stoke defender on BBC Radio Stoke

The last two goals have been absolutely brilliant.

Good movement, great creativity, and an even better finish.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 2 October

    Preston North End 0-0 Watford

Festy Ebosele has a big chance to send his side ahead in the final minute of the first half but he fluffs it and it remains goalless at the break.

Preston were the better, more controlled side for the majority of the 46 minutes played but Watford began to threaten as the half drew to a close and Paul Heckingbottom will want to nip that in the bud before the game drifts away from them.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 2 October

    Sheffield United 1-0 Swansea

Josh Tymon's nightmare own-goal is the difference at the break.

Anel Ahmedzodic had powered a near-post header past the post and Jamie Shackleton's deflected effort skidded just wide as the hosts grew into the half, but Myles Peart-Harris spurned the best chance of all at the other end, scuffing wide totally unmarked just eight yards out.

  7. goal

GOAL Stoke 3-1 Portsmouthpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 2 October

    Sam Gallagher (45+1 min)

    What a hit.

Sam Gallagher thought he'd scored earlier, he has now, in emphatic style.

Will Norris's poor clearance is straight to Andrew Moran who lays the ball into the path of Gallagher 20 yards out to unleash a thunderbolt into the top corner past Norris.

These two quick goals have been as purely struck as you could wish to see.

A nightmare end to the half for Pompey.

  8. 'Stoke like a knife through butter'published at 20:31 British Summer Time 2 October

    Stoke 2-1 Portsmouth

    Mike Pejic
Former Stoke defender on BBC Radio Stoke

That was an excellent move, and exactly what we're talking about!

Think forward, play forward. It had all the players involved.

It was like a knife through butter!

  9. Postpublished at 20:31 British Summer Time 2 October

    Preston North End 0-0 Watford

Edo Kayembe loops in a cross across the penalty area right towards Mattie Pollock but Andrew Hughes gets there first to take it wide.

Watford getting a period of sustained pressure now as they find their feet but they won't have long to appease their manager before the whistle goes.

  10. goal

GOAL Sheffield United 1-0 Swanseapublished at 20:30 British Summer Time 2 October

    Josh Tymon og (44 mins)

    This is a horrific watch.

Harrison Burrows swings in a fine cross from the left flank, Josh Tymon is facing his own goal, has forwards either side of him and can only succeed in diverting the ball off his knee and low to Lawrence Vigouroux's left.

The Blades break the deadlock, but it owes everything to good fortune.

  11. goal

GOAL Stoke 2-1 Portsmouthpublished at 20:28 British Summer Time 2 October

    Tom Cannon (43 mins)

    He's in form now.

Wouter Burger is a lovely player, he drifts forward and threads the ball through for Sam Gallagher who plays Tom Cannon in on the left of the areato lash a first-time shot with his left foot this time into the top corner of Will Norris' near post.

    An absolute rocket.

Form is temporary, class is permanent and if anyone can, Cannon can.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:27 British Summer Time 2 October

    Preston North End 0-0 Watford

Preston's Robbie Brady goes into the book for a challenge on a charging Giorgi Chakvetadze, much to his amazement.

A replay shows that Brady is unjustly punished in a case of mistaken identity as it looks like Ben Whiteman is the culprit.

Brady has to shake off his incredulous expression quickly as he's got some defending to do.

  13. CLOSE!published at 20:26 British Summer Time 2 October

    Sheffield United 0-0 Swansea

    What a chance for Swansea.

Myles Peart-Harris times his run to perfection to meet a curling cross from the left in space but gets his feet all wrong and scuffs a side-footed effort well wide of target with the goal at his mercy.

His hands were on his face before the ball had even crossed the dead ball line.

A real wake-up call for the Blades defence.

  14. Postpublished at 20:25 British Summer Time 2 October

    Stoke 1-1 Portsmouth

Ben Gibson gifts Pompey possession in midfield and Marlon Pack's cross from the right is turned behind by a defender.

The corner is taken short but Josh Murphy's venomous left-footed blast is charged down on the edge of the box and hacked away.

  15. 'City looking dangerous'published at 20:22 British Summer Time 2 October

    Bristol City 0-0 Sheffield Wednesday

City are looking really dangerous at the moment and a lot has come through Sinclair Armstrong.

They've got Sheffield Wednesday moving, and making mistakes.

  16. Postpublished at 20:21 British Summer Time 2 October

    Stoke 1-0 Portsmouth

Pompey have coughed up possession in some dangerous areas in their own half in the past few moments but Stoke haven't been able to capitalise.

The hosts look a little stunned from the equaliser arriving out of the blue.

  17. Postpublished at 20:20 British Summer Time 2 October

    Preston North End 0-0 Watford

The home side are starting to build momentum against a scrappy Watford who can't seem to keep hold of the ball.

Boss Tom Cleverley is looking stern on the touchline. Certainly a sharp team talk will await the Hornets when they head to the tunnel if it continues like this.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:19 British Summer Time 2 October

    Sheffield United 0-0 Swansea

Andre Brooks picks Josh Tymon's pocket on the United right wing and gets hauled back by the Swansea man who has his name taken.

The free-kick is cleared but the ball is recycled to Sydie Peck who prods to Jamie Shackleton in the box to see an angled strike deflect off a defender and inches past the far post.

The resulting corner is headed powerfully off target by Anel Ahmedhodzic when half the crowd were expecting the net to bulge.

As close as Blades have come.

  19. Postpublished at 20:17 British Summer Time 2 October

    Bristol City 0-0 Sheff Wed

Any Owls holding a grudge against Scott Twine for his scoring prowess will be feeling justified.

The midfielder swings in a dangerous cross towards an awaiting Sinclair Armstrong and it takes a superb intervention Akin Famewo to stop the follow through.

  20. 'Poor from Stoke'published at 20:17 British Summer Time 2 October

    Stoke 1-1 Portsmouth

    Mike Pejic
Former Stoke defender on BBC Radio Stoke

The Stoke defender should've won that tackle.

It was a two-on-one situation; the basics of defence.

That was really poor, and a costly mistake.
