This is a unique season in terms of how many points a team may need to survive.

Last season Bristol City went down with six points but the previous three years you needed 12 points to stay in the league, and I think this year you may need quite a lot more.

  20. 'Win alleviated pressure from West Ham'published at 12:12 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November

Brighton v West Ham (12:30 GMT)

    Tom Garry
Guardian women's football writer on BBC Women's Football Weekly podcast

The win last weekend alleviated so much pressure from West Ham. There was no suggestion that the club would have been looking to make a change with the manager this week if they hadn't won but that might have been the narrative.

If they had failed to win that game at home and against one of those teams in and around them at the bottom end of the table, and with the run they had been on, the pressure would have been mounting.
