Kiko Seike is back on the scoresheet!

Brighton double their lead. Rachel McLauchlan now has a goal and an assist after laying the ball off to Seike in the box.

The ball bobbles towards goal and into the bottom corner, past the despairing dive of Kinga Szemik who saw it late.

Considering the start Tottenham had against Man City they would have been thinking to themselves 'no early goals'. Keep it tight and settle in. But they are one down and we are only a minute in.

This is looking ominous for Spurs, Arsenal are all over them.

Only a great last ditch tackle from Amanda Nilden stops Mariona Caldentey getting free to shoot in the box.

    West Ham should be level!

Viviane Asseyi swings in a brilliant cross and Riko Ueki heads it down but Seraina Piubel blazes over.

She has her head in her hands and so she should.

It is great finish from Alessia Russo. Neither centre back has got a clue where she is, it is so passive from Tottenham. Russo produces a great finish into the bottom corner.

Chants of "come on Brighton" from the home fans, a second goal would relax them.

West Ham give the ball away cheaply but Kiko Seike's shot is high over the bar as she fails to make the most of it.

Seike hasn't scored since netting a hat-trick in the opening game of the season.

    Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal

Spurs conceded after 24 seconds against Manchester City last week, and after 63 seconds today.

That's the 19th goal they have conceded in the league this campaign, the most of any WSL side.

All of Robert Vilahamn's plans are out the window.

Brighton have given the ball away quite easily in the last few minutes.

Katrina Gorry crosses into the box and Riko Ueki's looping header falls into the gloves of Sophie Baggaley.

Dario Vidosic is not happy that his side have suddenly become sloppy in possession and tries to rouse them from the touchline.

This game is difficult to call. Tottenham haven't had the best of starts, Arsenal started poorly but have come into confidence and form of late and have been playing with confidence and intensity.

If Tottenham are going to get anything from the game they will have to adopt a similar style to last season. Sit deep, make it really compact and difficult for Arsenal and try to counter. Use the pace of Jess Naz on the break to try and get a goal.

    Tottenham v Arsenal (13.45 GMT)

    • Tottenham Hotspur have won only one of their nine meetings with Arsenal in the Women’s Super League, but that sole win did come in this fixture last season, winning 1-0 thanks to a Martha Thomas goal.
    • Spurs have won each of their last three league games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium; their last such success came in May against West Ham (3-1).
    • Tottenham have conceded more goals than any other side in the WSL so far this season - 18.
    • Following their 5-0 win over Brighton last time out, Arsenal will be looking to win back-to-back Women’s Super League games for the first time this season.
    • Only Vivianne Miedema has scored more WSL goals in the North London Derby than Arsenal’s Caitlin Foord, who has netted seven times in just eight league appearances against Spurs.

    Tottenham v Arsenal (13:45 GMT)

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham forward Jess Naz speaking to BBC One: "We have tried to stick together. We have addressed some things that we have tried to work on. Today is a good chance to have a fresh slate and go out there and perform and get the result."

"It is always great to play here at the stadium, especially in the north London derby. We have already created history by beating Arsenal here [last season]. Hopefully we can do that again.

"Last season was a great foundation to step on and I think this season we are trying to get back into that rhythm. This season we have had good performances but not always good results. Today is a good time to fight, it's a big game, show our great skills and hopefully score some goals."

On her England chances: "I just want to build on the end of last season. I had real confidence and this season I want to be back doing the same. It is a big stage to be playing on against Arsenal, so it will be great to get out there and hopefully get a goal."

  20. 'Tottenham lack leadership at the back'published at 13:34 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November

    Tottenham v Arsenal (13:45 GMT)

    Fara Williams
Former England midfielder on BBC One

Tottenham lack real leadership at the back. As soon as one player steps out they all go and the team becomes very narrow. The second centre half needs to communicate to their partner who is closest to the ball.

Full backs get pulled all over the place, centre midfielders get pulled out of position and they become disjointed. At some point you have to hold your line.
