Peterborough's miserable Christmas is continuing as they're 2-0 down at home to Barnsley, while Leyton Orient now lead Cambridge United 2-0 with Jamie Donley adding the second goal.

And in the shock of the day at the moment, Burton still lead Huddersfield 1-0 in West Yorkshire.

The Blues continue to look off colour and it's Blackpool who are pressing for the opener.

Its an absolute cracker at Cheltenham who are now level at 3-3 with Notts County

George Abbott had given the Magpies the lead but Joel Colwill has levelled things up for the hosts.

Crewe Alexandra have levelled at MK Dons thanks to Jamie Knight-Lebel's 56th-minute strike.

With about 25 minutes to go, you can bet we haven't seen our last goal today in League Two.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:21 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Grimsby 1-0 Port Vale

The visitors are struggling to show why they are second in League Two at the moment.

A dangerous cross from Denver Hume is inches away of finding Danny Rose, who would have had a tap-in to make it two.

Grimsby gaffer David Artell - who has been booked by the referee for dissent, then makes a change with Jason Svanthorsson replacing Callum Ainley.

Vale manager Darren Moore also makes a change - Rico Richards is replaced by Ronan Curtis.

  10. Postpublished at 16:21 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

  11. goal

GOAL Wrexham 1-0 Wiganpublished at 16:20 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Ryan Barnett (60 mins)

    The deadlock is broken...

Ryan Barnett has been increasingly influential and it's he who has broken the deadlock with a strike from the right of the Wigan area, albeit via a deflection which sends the ball into the corner past Sam Tickle.

Big goal in the context of the League One promotion race.

  12. Postpublished at 16:20 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Wrexham 0-0 Wigan

More end-to-end action as Mark Howard makes a mess of a backpass from Matt James and slices behind his own goal for a Wigan corner.

It comes to nought and Wrexham break with Ryan Barnett firing in another low cross which is just too far ahead of Paul Mullin in the middle.

  13. Postpublished at 16:18 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Birmingham 0-0 Blackpool

The visitors are the first to show after the turnaround but after getting in behind the Blues defence, Rob Apter's low ball across goal evades everyone and is cleared away.

    Reading 2-1 Mansfield

    Mick Gooding
Ex-Reading player/manager on BBC Radio Berkshire

It was a great overhead kick from Bindon.

The keeper got a hand to the first go, it bounced around, and then an overhead kick from Bindon.

Terrific finish. Hopefully, that gives Reading the confidence to keep the ball a bit better because they have been a bit sloppy here.

  15. Postpublished at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Wrexham 0-0 Wigan

Better from Wrexham as Paul Mullin plays it out wide for Ryan Barnett whose cross into the middle is just out of the reach of Ollie Palmer.

Donovan Pines and Davis Keillor-Dunn have put Barnsley in control with early second-half goals giving them a 2-0 lead at Peterborough.

Burton continue to hold on to their surprise 1-0 lead at Huddersfield and Bolton now lead 2-0 at home to 10-man Lincoln thanks to Jay Matete's goal after the break.

It's a long way back for Exeter who trail 4-1 at home to Crawley while Leyton Orient are 1-0 up on Cambridge United.

Bristol Rovers are searching for an equaliser as they trail 1-0 at Stevenage but it'll be even harder for Rovers now with Jamie Lindasy sent-off.

  19. CLOSE!published at 16:15 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Wrexham 0-0 Wigan

More good work from Wigan's Michael Olakigbe to drive forward before finding Thelo Aasgaard who picks his spot from outside the box but curls over the angle of post and bar.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:14 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Birmingham 0-0 Blackpool

Back under way, rather later, at St Andrew's, after that elongated first half.

Jay Stansfield is on for the second 45 minutes, replacing Lyndon Dykes up top.

He has 12 goals in 15 League One appearances, how he'd love a lucky number 13 today.
