Big let-off for the hosts as Thelo Aasgaard's low cross from the left is sliced past Mark Howard to come back off the bar, with the rebound put over by Jenson Weir.

Might have been Dale Taylor on the end of that cross, or might have been a Wrexham boot, either way, the hosts survive.

The chocolate orange segments have probably all gone now so we're back to orange slices and energy drinks at half-time.

Will they have done the trick? We're getting back under way in most of our League One and Two games. Who is going to go into 2025 on a high? Let's see...

    HT: Wrexham 0-0 Wigan

    Sanny Rudravajhala
BBC Radio 5 Live at Stok Cae Ras

Wrexham may have been the favourites, but it was Wigan who started the brighter. No major chances but a couple of issues for the Wrexham backline to deal with.

Shaun Maloney has a very young side, full of academy graduates. Baba Adeeko is one of them, he got his first career goal in their 1-0 at Rotherham but has already been forced off with injury.

And, depending on your age, this will make you feel very old. At 30, Will Aimson is their oldest starter today!

Aaron Collins of Bolton Wanderers scores to make it 1-0 against Lincoln CityImage source, Rex Features

Bolton Wanderers are looking to bounce back from their Boxing Day defeat by Barnsley and have a 1-0 lead against Lincoln City thanks to Aaron Collins, and the visitors will have it all to do as Ethan Erhahon was sent-off in stoppage time for a second yellow card.

It's gone goal crazy at St James Park with Exeter's Millenic Alli equalising Panutche Camara's opener for Crawley in Devon. Will Swan restored the visitors lead before Tola Showunmi made it 3-1 with his third league goal of the campaign, and Junior Quitirna added a fourth on the stroke of half-time.

Charlie Webster has given Burton a surprise 1-0 lead at fourth-placed Huddersfield while Oliver O'Neill's goal means Leyton Orient are 1-0 ahead against Cambridge United.

Bristol Rovers have Inigo Calderon in charge for the first time today but trail Stevenage 1-0 through an Elliott List strike.

Peterborough against Barnsley and Shrewsbury's meeting with Northampton are both goalless at the interval.

    Birmingham 0-0 Blackpool

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

Blues could well stretch their lead to more than a point today but they'll have to do quite a bit more than they've done so far today.

Steve Bruce will be happy with how his Blackpool side have looked.

Blues have lost Lee Buchanan and Hansson to injury which will be the only blot on the day for boss Chris Davies so far.

    Reading 1-1 Mansfield

    Jon D'Laryea
Former Mansfield Town midfielder on BBC Radio Nottingham

We were talking about getting the ball in the area, doing the simple things well and we've got the goal.

If we keep playing like this surely there's only one winner. On the balance of play, Mansfield deserve to be at least level.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

A few half-chances at either end but goalless at the break is about right...

Wigan have more than held their own, however...

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Reading 1-1 Mansfield

    All-square at the break.

Mamadi Camara gave Reading the lead inside the first 20 minutes but Mansfield have been knocking at the door since that moment with Keanu Baccus seeing an effort fly over and another blocked.

Lucas Akins was also denied by a good block before Will Evans finally got a deserved leveller - heading in Elliott Hewitt's cross.

  17. Postpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

There will be 10 additional minutes at the end of the half after Lee Buchanan's serious-looking injury early on.

  18. goal

GOAL Reading 1-1 Mansfieldpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Will Evans (45 mins)

    It's fully deserved.

We talked about how well Mansfield had reacted to going behind and they have their equaliser.

Elliott Hewitt sends over a cross and Will Evans does the rest with a powerful header for goal number nine of the season.

    Bobby Pointon (42nd minute)

Seven minutes after going behind, the Bantams are level!

Alex Pattison gets down the line and smashes a cross into the Chesterfield penalty area and Bobby Pointon's deft touch beats Max Thompson to make it 1-1.

  20. Postpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Wrexham 0-0 Wigan

Former Wigan hero James McClean is the latest to try his luck from a set-piece after a foul on Ollie Palmer, but his effort, like Paul Mullin's last, is straight into the wall.

Into three added minutes at the end of the half.
