    Jon D'Laryea
Former Mansfield Town midfielder on BBC Radio Nottingham

If the game stays like this, then Nigel Clough can't be too disappointed. Obviously, he won't be happy with the goal conceded and the nature of that goal.

But Mansfield have got players that can change this game.

It's been a really good response from the visitors.

  8. Postpublished at 15:37 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Wrexham 0-0 Wigan

Wrexham are growing into this one but Max Cleworth's speculative from long distance flies well wide of Sam Tickle's goal.

Not even going to use the 'close' headline for that one...

  9. CLOSE!published at 15:35 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Wrexham 0-0 Wigan

Paul Mullin, who is quite popular in these parts, is brought down just outside the Wigan box and takes the free-kick himself, though his low strike is too close to Latics keeper Sam Tickle.

  17. Postpublished at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2024

    Wrexham 0-0 Wigan

Tell you what, Wigan have made a very decent start at the Stok Cae Ras.

They don't score many, and they don't concede many, but their energetic press is preventing the home side from settling, and they have had the best of the half-chances too, plus a few set-pieces into Mark Howard's box.

    Good flow to this one.
