The major thing with Brentford is Thomas Frank departing. Regardless of Ivan Toney, and Bryan Mbuemo and everyone else. They have lost the manager and Keith Andrews is unproven. We wish him all the best, but it is a big ask for him to come into Frank's shoes. Brentford are a solid club and you feel the foundations are in a good place.

Brentford continue to experience growing pains under rookie manager Keith Andews, with last weekend's 3-1 defeat at Fulham leaving them one point and one place above the relegation zone. They have already conceded 10 Premier League goals this term, which is the third highest total in the top flight and the most by the Bees at this stage of a league season since 2003.

After the loss at Craven Cottage, Andrews said his side need to improve their game management, pinpointing the concession of two quickfire goals before half-time as the turning point. He admitted lessons will have to be learned, adding: "It's a young squad and we need to analyse that period."

However, Brentford's inability to hang on to a lead is in danger of becoming an Achilles heel. They have dropped a league-high eight points from winning positions in the current campaign, scoring first in four of their five matches but winning only once.

With just four points on the board and 10 goals conceded, the Bees have made their worst start to a Premier League season. They will hope to kick-start their campaign with back-to-back home fixtures against the league's two Manchester clubs.

Mbeumo knows so many people here so well.

I suspect when he comes back out in a few minutes' time, he won't be being friendly. He knows he has a job to do - and that involves the visitors winning.

Manchester United rebounded from a sobering defeat against neighbours Manchester City by beating Chelsea 2-1 last weekend in a match both sides finished with 10 men. Casemiro's sending off in first-half injury time gave the Blues hope of a comeback and Amorim conceded afterwards his team need to stop making life needlessly "complicated".

While lapses of concentration are a recurring issue, Amorim can at least take heart from United's improved attacking displays.

The Red Devils have attempted 81 Premier League shots this term, more than any other side (Brentford rank last with 41). They average 16.2 shots per game in the current campaign, up from 13.9 under Amorim last season, while their expected goals figure has risen from 1.33 per game to 2.03.

However, supporters have yet to see the best of new striker Benjamin Sesko, who has had a quite start to life at Old Trafford following his £66.3m move from RB Leipzig. He has managed just one shot on target and eight touches in the opposition box in 205 minutes of Premier League action.

I'm surprised to a point that Graham Potter did the pre-match press conference yesterday.

To put someone in that position in front of the media only for them to sack him less than 24 hours later is partly a shock.

Equally, everyone in the industry and within football knew Potter was on his last legs at West Ham.

Nuno is going to have to hit the ground running. Everton under Moyes is a different proposition - they're strong at home.

It’s a well known fact Ruben Amorim is yet to win two Premier League games in a row since he became Manchester United head coach.

He has the opportunity to do that against Brentford this afternoon.

It is baby steps of course but Amorim wants his players to understand the momentum that can be built by winning consecutive games.

“If we don't understand the momentum now, we have a big problem,” he said.

“Anything could happen in a game, especially in Premier League but the feeling in the first minutes is really important for me. Since we start the first training sessions, we have spoken about that.

“We need to understand the opportunity we have to win the next game. The responsibility is on us.”

I watched them play Spurs a couple of weeks ago and you saw the set-pieces, they have conceded seven goals from set-pieces this season. It looked like a set of schoolboys out there, no real direction. Eventually that has to come back to the manager. We have talked about the 24% win percentage, it's simply not good enough. When we look at the three promoted teams started really well, the emergency button has been pressed. They did it last year with Lopetegui and they are doing it again. West Ham have to find the right manager.

It is not a big surprise that Graham Potter has left his job and has got the sack this morning. It was a story we brought you last week following the defeat to Crystal Palace.

What we can also tell you this morning is Nuno Espirito Santo is 99.9% sure of replacing Potter at West Ham.

West Ham have moved up quickly to get Potter's replacement. Nuno should be in charge of West Ham for the Everton game on Monday night.

Brentford beat Manchester United 4-3 in this fixture last season, but that was a different Brentford - with Thomas Frank their manager and Bryan Mbeumo playing for them, not for United.

The Bees are a difficult team to predict now because Keith Andrews has had some mixed results since taking charge - they ended up being out-played by Fulham last week, but they are still unbeaten at home.

I am not sure what we will see from Ruben Amorim's side, either.

Robbie Savage was telling me on 606 that United have got the best xG (expected goals) in the Premier League, which suggests they have under-achieved so far.

I can see this being quite a tight game and while I didn't go for any draws at all last week - I got a bit complacent because I was finding it so easy to beat AI and decided I would pick a winner in every game - I am going to start with one this time.

Bryan Mbeumo returns to Brentford this lunchtime for the first time since his summer move to Manchester United.

Mbeumo scored 20 goals for the Bees in the Premier League last term and while he will be trying to hurt his old club today, Brentford boss Keith Andrews expects the Cameroon forward to get a positive reception.

“I thoroughly enjoyed working with him last season,” Andrews says in his programme notes.

“He is a great Brentford story in how he arrived as a teenager and developed into a top player over a number of years before moving on.

“Given everything he achieved at the club, I’m sure he will get the warm reception he deserves.”

Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim, speaking to TNT Sports: "It is good to see the three guys in front, but we have to be careful with the way we defend. We finished the game against Fulham, and we struggled a little bit in the way we balanced the game.

"To balance that, maybe Kobbie Mainoo in the future could play in that position to give us different things. If you look at the team of Brentford, they're strong on transitions and I think Manu [Ugarte] can balance the team better in this moment.

"Chelsea is in the past. We need to win, and we need to find out how we're going to behave with some victories in a row.

"The important thing nowadays in our club is that we have to think about the next game. The next game is really important. We need to win games in a row. That is a thing which is normal in every big club. To help the team to be better and to help the team play a little more free in every game."

Brentford

Brentford boss Keith Andrews, speaking to TNT Sports: "I think home form has been very good. We have produced good performances against top sides.

"Ultimately, there is a lot of confidence in the camp about how we can win this game.

"Relationships is a big one for me. You try to form them every day in training — the players are very diligent on their work on a day to day basis.

"It is always difficult to pick the squad. We have got some talented players in the squad. Aaron Hickey has been growing. Everyone is aware of his injury trouble in the last year or two. He is a talented player, and he will be a big asset for us today."

On Bryan Mbuemo: "He is a talented player and a player I enjoyed working with last season. A player who will get a nice welcome back to a place he was a big player for a number of years."
