The chances are starting to fall for Manchester City but Bernardo Silva skies the latest one from the edge of the box with Erling Haaland close by unmarked. Haaland doesn't look impressed to put it mildly.

Josko Gvardiol does exceptionally well to bide his time and wait for the give and go. The defender goes to ground and he finds Phil Foden. He shoots and without the block from Nico Dominguez I think it was going in.

A rare chance but Phil Foden's attempt is blocked.

Now Nico Gonzalez goes into the referee's notebook for a foul deep inside his own half, but in keeping with the game so far, Forest's free-kick is poor and comes to nothing.

Behind the full backs is where the space is for Forest, particularly when Matheus Nunes looks to get forward down the City right. When he inverts into midfield there is a gap to go into.

A sloppy pass by Matheus Nunes but Forest are unable to take advantage. This is like a game of chess. Slow - and not very exciting.

Decent spell of Forest possession around the edge of City's box. Anthony Elanga, Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson are all involved but the home side are unable to test Ederson.

It's a pretty tame affair so far.

It's an indication of the lack of excitement on the pitch that the half-and-half scarves debate rages on.

It's tight, it's cagey, it's edgy...and we're still waiting for this third versus fourth showdown to explode into life.

Martinez: It would be a shame for Nottingham Forest to fall below 4th place this season, especially after demonstrating such strong character. However, I fear that Man City and Chelsea will secure the top four spots.

Fortunately for Forest it's drops wide from the boot of Nico Gonzalez after the Spaniard lets fly from 25 yards.

This hasn't got going at all. One attempt in the opening 13 minutes. Forest fans are pretty quiet right now.
