Everton manager David Moyes speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "We did enough to get a point. Wolves have been doing well in recent times and they showed that again tonight. It was important we stayed above as many teams as we can. But we have also got eyes set on catching some of the clubs above us. But coming here and starting the job, the only thing that interested me was to make sure we are a Premier League club and we haven't got that confirmed yet."

"Wolves have a lot of resilience, even under their previous manager. They are tough to each other. But we have looked like we can score goals recently. We were still a threat but we are disappointed having not won our last three games. That gives you an idea of where we are right now."

On facing former club West Ham: "It's a horrible game because I've got a lot of great memories of the people there. I have also got close bond with the players there. We've done some good things over the years. It will be difficult playing against them. It's a privilege to come against good lads and good staff. I look forward to seeing them."

Wolves

Wolves boss Vitor Pereira, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "The result was not one we expected but the performance was consistent. It was a performance showing personality, tactical organisation, confidence, team spirit and we tried everything to score another goal. In the end it's one point, we'll see what it means in the future.

"I believe a lot in the qualities of my players. We used to speak a lot about tactics but at this moment it is important to feel the team spirit and that they are committed to achieve our targets.

"We must wait for the Leicester game tomorrow against Chelsea. It is better being six points, than five points."

On coping without Matheus Cunha: "I don't believe in building a team around a player. One player can do special things. We have other players that can do it if they get the confidence to do it. In football we must play as a team, fight and be organised as a team. Cunha is a player that can give us different things but the team is the team and the most important thing is the team."

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves manager Vitor Periera speaking to TNT Sports: "This point can be important and maybe not. It depends. But I am happy with my players. We played a very consistent game against a difficult team. We tried everything to win the game in the second half.

"I like to see a team playing as a team - running together in attack and defence and with confidence in themselves. We showed all of that today. I am not happy with the result though. It's just one point but one point can be important."

On Marshall Munetsi: "He deserved the goal but it was a pity he felt something in the first half and we cannot take risks with him. He has the spirit that I like in a player. He did everything to help the team and he will definitely score more goals."

On January signings helping the team: "They came to help and they are players who can add quality. They are physically strong and to compete in this league, we need to compete again these kind of teams. Defending set-pieces is always a problem against them. So we need them. I also like the spirit of the substitutes. They came on to help the team."

On facing Southampton next: "It is very important just because it is just the next game. I don't want to consider it a final. If you start to carry in your back the responsibility, it's a problem. It's my experience. We can get points against big teams in this league and lose against the team in the bottom. This is why this league is the best in the world."

Everton

Everton manager David Moyes, speaking to TNT Sports: "It's a great point. I think Wolves are playing really well in the Premier League at the moment and maybe haven't quite had the results they deserve. They played well against is today but we did a really good job.

"I didn't like an awful lot but I liked our resilience and our togetherness to keep in it. We didn't have a lot of the ball in the second half but we limited their clear-cut chances and had one or two ourselves"

On Jack Harrison:"I remember him scoring plenty for Leeds and couldn't see why he couldn't do it for us. He is gaining confidence and the goal will help him."

On league placing: "We wanted to make sure that Wolves couldn't get any closer to us. Some of the other results went for us and ideally we now want to catch the teams above us. Overall tonight was a point I am happy to take."

On safety: "I think we are in a really good position when you think where we were when we started. They have seen the game out today. I don't think we a re safe yet because the numbers don't say that. The challenge is to go and win. We don't want to be a team down near the bottom we want to challenge the teams near the top."

Aston Villa

Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “I always seem to score [against Brentford]. I think it’s down to the way they play. The game opens up and it suits me. I've made a lot of people here unhappy. It's nice to be back here and get the three points.

“The boss is always saying the Premier League is the most important competition. Obviously the other competitions are a bonus. It’s nice to be in the quarter-final of the FA Cup, then there’s a massive [Champions League] second leg against Brugge.”

“We’re not completely happy with our league position, but we can be happy that we’re pushing to be in the quarter-finals or semi-finals of some big cup competitions.”

On his disallowed goal: “I’m not a big fan of VAR to be honest. Their defenders weren’t even disputing it. Sometimes it goes your way, sometimes it doesn’t.”

Aston Villa

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “We competed more in the second half. Normally Brentford create more [at home]. We needed to defend and we defended fantastically.

“We needed our goalkeeper. We needed our defence to be strong. From crosses they are dangerous, but I think we did a fantastic job.”

On Axel Disasi: “He’s here because he wanted to be with us. Today he made one more step forward [in terms of] adapting to us and supporting us.”

On Emiliano Martinez and Marco Asensio: “We will see because we have four days [until the second leg against Club Brugge]. Hopefully tomorrow we can start doing something with them. They are very important players for us.”

Jack Harrison ended a run of 35 Premier League games without a goal for Everton, netting for the first time since February 2024 against Tottenham.

Indeed, prior to today, he had the highest expected goals (xG) total (2.9) of any player without a goal in the English top flight this season.

Everton are now unbeaten in their last eight games in the Premier League - their last longer unbeaten streak was from 26 December 2016 to 25 February 2017, a run of nine games.

Wolves, on the other hand, make a double change as Andre and Nelson Semedo are replaced by Tommy Doyle and Santiago Bueno.

We have a minimum of three minutes added on at the end of this not-very-exciting second half.

Wolves want to end the game strongly but Everton have men behind the ball and holding strong.

Pablo Sarabia creates some space for himself at the edge of the box and tries to curl one into the top corner. But he gets the execution wrong.

Everton's Carlos Alcaraz now sees a yellow card after standing in front of the ball and delaying the restart.
