Wolves manager Gary O’Neil, speaking to Sky Sports: “It’s probably one of my favourite performances in my time as a coach. We knew this was going to be a really tough test with the players we were missing.

“It wasn’t as if we nicked a win today – I thought we were good value. It’s something that the players deserve. We’ve had a really good response to a tough afternoon at Brentford.

“The first goal was straight off the training ground. Obviously it’s great quality from Matheus, but it’s something we work on a lot. It was a really composed performance without the ball. It’s important we take that forward with us.”

On Matheus Cunha: “I love him, I love working with him. The improvements he’s made are just incredible. When I came, there was an incredible, undeniable talent, but [he was] someone who didn’t know how to make [the most of] it. We get him in some great spots now.

“He’s a great guy. It’s probably his best out-of-possession performance for us. He fitted into our structure very well, led from the front and brought some incredible quality to the game.”

On Mario Lemina: “I thought he was excellent. It was an excellent centre-back performance. He has the tools to play there. We did a bit of work with him yesterday, but it was a really top performance. It feels wrong to speak too much about individuals, but Toti [Gomes] is another one. [Goalkeeper] Jose Sa is another one. There are some really good stories.”

Wolves forward Matheus Cunha, speaking to Sky Sports: “It’s so good. We didn’t start the season the way we want, but we kept working. Now it’s four games [unbeaten].

“I always say about the group – we believe a lot. We know everyone’s potential. Everyone played very well. I’m so happy with the result and I think it shows the character of the group.

“When the results don’t come, people start to get a little upset. But when you start to get going, it shows that everyone is together. If we do that, we can do many more things.”

On whether that was his best-ever double: “Two very beautiful goals. You don’t think about the quality of the goals in the game, but I’m happy with these kind of things.”

On Gary O’Neil: “We never had doubts [about the manager]. He did a lot of good things for us last season. Everyone in the group has grown up with him.”

Aston Villa

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery speaking to Sky Sports: "We deserved more but we made some mistakes that we need to correct. We had chances to score, we came back. The penalty was a key moment.

"In the second half we pushed and felt close to scoring, but we have to accept one point."

On Villa's vulnerability to transitions: "We are working on it. The players are concerned as well.

Bournemouth

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola speaking to Sky Sports: "It has a game with very small margins. We had more volume, but they were more clinical. We had more clear chances but we couldn't score until the end. We tried to until the end and we were close to getting one point. Very small margins.

"Disallowed goal, I still want to see the line for offside. The same with Kauru Mitoma's goal. Normally there is one red line and one blue line. They just draw one line, they don't put it from the shoulder.

"We've played a good first half and our worst part was the moments after they were with 10 men, it cost us some minutes to control it."

On Brighton: "They have been very good, especially the first goal. Joao Pedro is very smart to arrive first and the second goal, first touch, it is a good goal."

On whether his side deserved more: "You can always do better but it is true I think we did enough to get something from the game.

"I definitely think we deserve something. It more or less happened against Brentford, we have to be more efficient. We are not getting the points and it is not a good thing."

Brentford

Brentford boss Thomas Frank to Sky Sports: "When you have the still footage, it doesn't look great. If you look at that, it's a red card. If Pickford is standing still, then it's different because you're taking unnecessary risk. We are going to appeal it.

"The desire, mentality and work ethic have been fantastic. We created a few dangerous situations going the other way and we could have got more out of it. We had a few good situations in the second half and we're pleased with that."

Arsenal

Mikel Arteta tells Sky Sports that Declan Rice could have played a few minutes "if needed" but did not want to take the risk in case it led to him being out for a longer spell.

"We cannot allow to miss him for 10 days or 15 days now," adds the Arsenal boss.

On Bukayo Saka's goal and performance: "He was exceptional. So much composure in the box and the quality of his finishing. He needs to develop that capacity to win games."

Where do you start with this game? It has been an incredible first half.

I remember waxing lyrical about Tottenham after their first half at Brighton where they went in 2-0 at half time, and they go and lose 3-2.

Pep Guardiola will be telling his team that at half time. They have made more than enough chances so far. He will refer to that and know how defensively weak Tottenham are at times.

This game is far from over.

Fulham

Fulham manager Marco Silva, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: “It was really weird game. That’s the Premier League. It’s easy for us to say we were really unfortunate. It was a situation [where we had to] play with 10 men without a red card.

“You can’t concede the way we conceded the equaliser. It was great from a top, top player, but it was different from our [own perspective].

“We’ve been a team who have been creating. It’s really important for us to keep compact, because we have the ability to create the moments. The positives are there.

“We can’t just be looking at the score. The two goals when we were with 10 men didn’t reflect the game, in my opinion.”

On his substitutions: “I wanted to bring fresh players, with Kenny Tete on a yellow card. I probably should have kept that one in my pocket, but the yellow card probably rushed my decision to bring on Timo [Castagne] as well.”

“It was a tough run. We had a tough transfer window. Any club that organises its captain and one of its top players is going to have to find a new way. We had to bed in some young talent from different leagues. Then we had a really tough run of fixtures to start with, and our league position brings pressure.

“The next kick up the backside can come quickly. It’s important the lads understand where this [win] came from. The organisation, togetherness gave us a real platform.

“I’m really pleased with everybody. Fulham have been excellent this season. When we suffered the injuries and illnesses we did, I feared what it might look like this afternoon.”

City have had enough opportunities to score five goals, they have made so many chances. But defensively they have been all over the place. They have looked nervous, edgy and as soon as they conceded the cohesion went. They looked so susceptible.

Spurs are just trying to keep in the ball in the corner to see them through to the break. Can't blame them.
