    That's as far as we go here tonight and indeed for the Carabao Cup first round as a whole.

    Tonight's three ties all produced three goals each, with Sheffield Wednesday winning 2-1 at Hull City, Wayne Rooney getting his first win as Plymouth boss with a 3-0 success over League Two Cheltenham and Middlesbrough hammering Leeds 3-0 at Elland Road.

  2. Luck of the draw

    EFL Cup second round

    Some cracking ties in the northern section of the second round, there.

    League Two side Doncaster Rovers, who started their season in stonking style with a 4-1 win over Accrington Stanley on Saturday, head to Everton, while Tranmere, who are also in the fourth tier, visit last season's Championship winners, Leicester City.

    There's also an all-Premier League contest when Newcastle travel to Nottingham Forest.

  3. South Group draw

    Three ties to keep a keen eye on in the south section.

    Premier League Brighton will host League One Crawley in rare Sussex derby.

    Newly-promoted to the top flight, Ipswich will travel to Wimbledon of League Two.

    And another fourth v first tier tie sees Colchester host Brentford.

  4. That concludes the draw for the second round of the Carabao Cup.

    The ties will take place on the week commencing Monday, 26 August.
