Despite the heavy downpour, thunder and lightening, I'm told referee Darren England is happy for the match to continue.

Don't think there was any danger of the game being called off but he might have wanted to delay the start of the second half.

  2. 'Something has to change for Newcastle'published at 16:02 British Summer Time

    Fulham 2-0 Newcastle

    Chris Latchem
BBC Final Score at Craven Cottage

Incredible first 45 from Fulham - they really got at Newcastle and were well worth that 2-0 half-time lead. Aside from their offside goal, Newcastle have looked pretty limp going forward.

Aleksander Isak passed a late fitness test to start but I'm not sure he's completely match sharp.

If he does need a rest, Newcastle have Will Osula on the bench. Alternatively Eddie Howe might look at Anthony Gordon through the middle. Either way, something has to change for this second 45.

  3. Surely not...published at 16:00 British Summer Time

    HT: Liverpool 3-0 Bournemouth

Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 140 Premier League matches when leading at half-time.

They have won 127 of those games, drawing 13.

The last time they lost from that position?

That was December 2016, when Bournemouth battled back to claim a 4-3 win.

  4. Postpublished at 15:59 British Summer Time

    HT: Southampton 1-0 Ipswich

Ipswich striker Liam Delap attempted just four passes in the first half, completing two of them.

Sounds like some of my team-mates on Rush mode on EA FC this morning.

I think that's the worst first half performance I have seen since Eddie Howe came to Newcastle, but it's been coming. It doesn't match the strength of the players out there on the pitch.

  6. 'The most important thing is the way we progress'published at 15:55 British Summer Time

    FT: West Ham 0-3 Chelsea

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, speaking to BBC MOTD: "It has been a good game and a good result. The clean sheet has been important. We have many things to improve, we can attack and defend enter but overall going in the right direction."

On Nicolas Jackson: "We are completely 100% happy with Nicolas. He is working hard since I arrived, he's very good on the ball in terms of numbers. We are very happy."

On Wesley Fofana: "He did very well. We have to protect him from his injury last year - he did fantastic."

On positioning in the league: "The points are important, but in this moment the most important thing is the way we progress.

"We are in the right direction, but many things we can do better.

"We can attack better and defend better. It is a process and we are learning."

  7. 'A bad day'published at 15:54 British Summer Time

    FT: West Ham 0-3 Chelsea

    West Ham United

West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui, speaking to BBC MOTD: "It's a bad day for sure.

"We lost one match that we had a big expectations to compete much better.

"It has been soft goals we have suffered. Before the first goal we have a clear chance with Kudus, but after we have to be more consistent and we cannot accept this action.

"To compete in the Premier League you have to be more consistent. We had more ball than them, but the only stat that is important is they have more goals.

"The third goal was key and in the half-time, we were thinking one goal would be key for us to believe.

"It is true we suffered early on in the second half."

On three successive home defeats in the league: "There is no excuse.

"In all of them we can be more consistent. We have to be honest and know that we need to improve, this group and players will improve.

"The only thing we have to say for the fans is thank you. We have to give them things and the only thing you can give is your best."

Unai Emery was off down the tunnel heading for the dressing room before the half-time whistle sounded. That tells you everything about the home team's first 45 minute showing. As for Wolves, that's got to be their best 45 minutes of the season.

Em: Gravenberch may not be the 'destroyer' I wanted during the transfer window, but he's got a little of Rodri about him - always in the right place, doesn't lose the ball, always plays the right pass be it simple or complex.

  10. 'Liverpool have ruthlessly exploited Bournemouth'published at 15:52 British Summer Time

    Liverpool 3-0 Bournemouth

    Chris Sutton
Former Blackburn and Celtic striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Liverpool have been lethal, they weren't last week but they've been responding today in the Premier League. Bournemouth have been slightly naïve in their approach and Liverpool have ruthlessly exploited them.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 British Summer Time

    Leicester 0-1 Everton

In a huge game between two winless sides, Everton, for the third week in a row, have a lead to defend.

Sean Dyche will hope they can finally see this one out - and that the rain might ease up somewhat.

Dean Huijsen is shown a yellow card for hauling down Mohamed Salah as the Egyptian charges towards the Bournemouth box. Luckily for Huijsen, team-mate Illia Zabarnyi was back for cover so it's just a booking.

The whistle goes and that has been the perfect half for Liverpool. Arne Slot's side, three goals to the good, are well on course to make it four wins from five in the Premier League.

You wouldn't think Newcastle could go top. They're well off it while Fulham are turning on the style.

Ipswich work a corner, their seventh of the game, back to Omari Hutchinson and his drive from 20 yards is tipped over by Aaron Ramsdale. Lovely strike.

Not only does Sean Dyche not have a towel to dry himself, but he has now been booked by referee Darren England.

Must be for something he said.

Fans sitting in the front few rows are running for cover.

The downpour is such you're struggling to see which player is on the ball.

I'm wearing a summer jacket and it's a 15 minute walk back to the car park.

    Great.

    Leicester 0-1 Everton

As Dwight McNeil drags a shot well wide, the cameras show the front rows of the stands empty as supporters run for cover from the torrential rain.

While the rest of the matches take place in fairly pleasant late-September conditions, it's mid January at the King Power Stadium.

Sean Dyche, drenched, goes into the book for his unrelated complaints on the sideline.

  20. Postpublished at 15:45 British Summer Time

    Southampton 1-0 Ipswich

Ipswich are creating chances. Omari Hutchinson picks out Leif Davis at the back post and the left-back's scuffed shot is touched wide by Aaron Ramsdale.
