  2. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 14:00 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Walsall 3-1 Tranmere

Liam Gordon has been excellent for the Saddlers today and once again drives down the left before whipping a low cross across the box.

Nathan Lowe shows smarts beyond his 19 years to let it run through his legs for Ryan Stirk to have a crack from 20 yards but Luke McGee is able to gather with ease.

Oisin McEntee has been replaced by Charlie Lakin for the hosts with Kristian Dennis, Harvey Saunders and Lee O'Connor coming off for Rovers.

Omari Patrick is on for the final 20 minutes and change along with Saidou Khan and Josh Davison.

    Rotherham 2-0 Bolton

Remarkably, it has been 59 years since Bolton last won away at Rotherham in a league game.

They've played this fixture 17 times since a 1-0 win in August 1966 and failed to come out on top in any of them (D5 L12).

It'll be 18 unless they can do something about it pretty sharpish.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 13:57 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Rotherham 2-0 Bolton

And here come the changes for Bolton on the hour mark.

Captain George Thomason and Randell Williams make way for the visitors.

On come Dion Charles and Josh Dacres-Cogley.

  5. Postpublished at 13:56 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Walsall 3-1 Tranmere

Connor Barrett channels prime Cafu with a break down the right but his cross into the middle is blocked and Jamie Jellis gets his feet all wrong at the far post.

The hosts look to have weathered that mini revival from Tranmere who look short of ideas and a little leggy, playing a man short.

Charlie Lakin will soon be coming on for Walsall for his 150th senior appearance. Nice context to be arriving in, to be honest.

  6. CHANCE!published at 13:56 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Rotherham 2-0 Bolton

Ohh, this should be game over but Nathan Baxter saves well from Rotherham's Mallik Wilks.

Wilks goes clean through but hits it straight at the Bolton keeper.

  7. Postpublished at 13:54 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Rotherham 2-0 Bolton

It has been pretty much all Rotherham in the first 12 minutes of this second half.

You feel Bolton boss Ian Evatt needs to change something fairly soon. Wanderers can barely get out of their own defensive third.

  8. Postpublished at 13:52 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Rotherham 2-0 Bolton

Mallik Wilks leads a counter-attack for Rotherham and slots it through for Sam Nombe in the box.

Nombe fires towards goal but Bolton defender Will Forrester does well to deflect it behind for a corner.

  9. CLOSE!published at 13:52 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Walsall 3-1 Tranmere

A fortunate break off Taylor Allen's knee in midfield sends Harvey Saunders flying down the Rovers left towards the box but he can only drag an angled shot a yard past the base of Tommy Simkin's upright.

  10. Postpublished at 13:50 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Walsall 3-1 Tranmere

Rovers are giving it a go in this second half but goodness, Walsall look a threat every time they pinch possession against the 10-men.

Jamie Jellis and Liam Gordon combine well down the left once again but they have to settle for a corner, which comes to nought.

It has not been the best of starts to the second half for Bolton.

Rotherham have a simplistic style but it's working for them. Bolton fans are booing their own team here.

Bolton on the back foot. It's looking bleak at the moment.

  12. CLOSE!published at 13:49 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Rotherham 2-0 Bolton

A corner comes in from the right for Rotherham and Bolton clear it to the edge of the box where it drops for Joe Rafferty.

He hits it sweetly on the volley but it flies wide. Great technique but not quite the precise direction needed.

Moments later, Joe Powell drives forward for the Millers again and hits a left-footed effort from 20 yards narrowly wide.

  13. Postpublished at 13:46 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Walsall 3-1 Tranmere

Tranmere's Cameron Norman is penalised for a high boot on Jamie Jellis on halfway, but no card produced by Jeremy Simpson on this occasion.

We saw seven cautions before the break, five to Rovers, two of which went to Sam Finley who is presumably in a warm bath about now.

  14. Postpublished at 13:44 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Rotherham 2-0 Bolton

Rotherham start the second half on the front foot, pushing Bolton back towards their own area.

Alex MacDonald then launches a long throw into the box from the right and after a bit of headed pinball, it comes out to skipper Hakeem Odoffin on the left but he runs it out of play.

  15. Postpublished at 13:43 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Walsall 3-1 Tranmere

He's not just a fox in the box, Jamille Matt again rises highest in his own box to head clear a Kieron Morris free-kick after Harvey Saunders won a free-kick 40 yards out.

    Walsall 3-1 Tranmere

Jamille Matt has his second of the game, and Walsall have three.

Liam Gordan turning and twisting with a mazy run and it's Matt with the final touch on it. It's an unprecedented number of eight league wins in a row for the Saddlers.

  17. SECOND HALFpublished at 13:42 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Rotherham 2-0 Bolton

We're off and running again at the New York Stadium as well.

A big uphill battle for Bolton to rescue something from this. They've been frozen out so far...

  18. goal

GOAL Walsall 3-1 Tranmerepublished at 13:39 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Jamille Matt (49 mins)

    Game over?

Liam Gordon turns into Ricky Villa with a twisting run in from the left flank along the byline, he eventually gets the ball into the middle which is met by Oisin McEntee's head.

The looping ball is hooked goalwards by Nathan Lowe, parried by keeper Luke McGee and stabbed home from a yard out by Jamille Matt who is now on a hat-trick, or a Matt-trick if you will..

  19. Postpublished at 13:38 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January

    Walsall 2-1 Tranmere

Some more pretty approach play from the hosts with Liam Gordon again coming infield from the left, though this time he opts to try a reverse pass into the area, rather than trying his luck from 20-yards, only to see his pass cut out.
