  1. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 12:53 British Summer Time 16 August

    Exeter 0-0 Mansfield

George Maris so close to the opener, applying a lovely glancing header from a curling right-wing cross which flies across the goal of the flat-footed Joe Whitworth, but thuds the base of the post on its way behind for a goal kick.

  2. goal

GOAL: Oldham 0-2 Swindonpublished at 12:50 British Summer Time 16 August

    Tom Nichols (19 mins)

Dear oh dear Oldham. Not the start they wanted at all.

But Swindon on the other hand are flying.

Scorer of the first goal Joe Snowdon turns provider this time as he combines well with Tom Nichols who then puts away a curled finish.

    Lovely stuff from the Robins.

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 12:48 British Summer Time 16 August

    Exeter 0-0 Mansfield

Another good stop at his near post using his legs by Stags keeper Liam Roberts.

Defender Ed Turns was the man who controlled a deep cross on his chest and took on the angled shot from the left as Exeter begin to get a foothold after a low-key start to this one.

  4. 'Didn't look like a red card'published at 12:48 British Summer Time 16 August

    Burton 0-0 Port Vale

    Aaron Webster
Former Burton Albion defender on BBC Radio Derby

Albion now have the rest of the game against ten men and we just talked about it, who is going to but assert their authority over the game?

Now, Albion have the chance to do that.

It didn't look like a red card.

  5. Postpublished at 12:48 British Summer Time 16 August

    Oldham 0-1 Swindon

Swindon have a great chance to double their lead.

In comes a corner and James Ball is there to meet it but he puts his header over the bar.

  6. RED CARD - George Byers (Port Vale)published at 12:47 British Summer Time 16 August

    Burton 0-0 Port Vale

The visitors are down to 10 men inside 15 minutes as skipper George Byers flies into a fierce challenge on Charlie Webster which sparks an almighty melee.

It's a nasty scissors tackle, out of control and a little high and likely borne of frustration after his own pass was intercepted in the Brewers half.

Big headache for Darren Moore now.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 12:46 British Summer Time 16 August

    Chesterfield 0-0 Bristol Rovers

Having just put in a shot at goal, Chesterfield defender Kyle McFadzean now finds himself the first name in the naughty book for a foul on Promise Omochere.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 12:45 British Summer Time 16 August

    Exeter 0-0 Mansfield

Great work from City's Reece Cole who slaloms his way down the right of the area before fizzing in a low cross to the near post where Jayden Wareham's first-time finish is instinctively blocked by Liam Roberts.

  9. Postpublished at 12:45 British Summer Time 16 August

    Chesterfield 0-0 Bristol Rovers

Bristol Rovers' set-piece is taken but ends up culminating in a goal kick and now there's a corner up the other end.

Chesterfield's is more effective as it's sent deep towards Chey Dunkley, who then nods it along to his defensive counterpart Kyle McFadzean.

He connects to send it towards the goal and has Gas keeper Luke Southwood on the stretch as he denies it by his fingertips.

  10. 'A strange game'published at 12:44 British Summer Time 16 August

    Burton 0-0 Port Vale

    Dave Fletcher
    BBC Radio Derby Sport

The Port Vale fans are in fine voice to our right, and the drum is beating to our right for Burton.

It is a strange game, it is more of we have a go, no you have a go - no-one has stomped down their authority.

  11. Postpublished at 12:43 British Summer Time 16 August

    Exeter 0-0 Mansfield

Heart-in-mouth moment for City keeper Joe Whitworth who is closed down fiercely as he tries to clear his lines in his own six yard box, only for the blocked ball to be cleared by his defence.

Whitworth was caught out in similar fashion in the midweek EFL Cup defeat at Cheltenham.

  12. Postpublished at 12:41 British Summer Time 16 August

    Chesterfield 0-0 Bristol Rovers

The home side are dominating the possession stats, but it's a visitor who earns the first shot on target.

Ellis Harrison finds the ball in the centre of the box but can't generate much power and just prods it straight into the gloves of Spireites keeper Zach Hemming.

The Gas attack isn't over either as they also earnt themselves a nice-looking free-kick in Chesterfield's half.

  13. Postpublished at 12:39 British Summer Time 16 August

    Burton 0-0 Port Vale

More threat from Vale as another ball into the mixer from Ryan Croasdale is nodded down to Lorent Tolaj who sees a first-time shot into a forest of legs charged down by unfortunate teammate Ronan Curtis.

  14. Postpublished at 12:37 British Summer Time 16 August

    Burton 0-0 Port Vale

Just a glimpse of goal for the visitors as a long diagonal ball is nodded back into the area, but the bouncing ball just evades the lunge of Lorent Tolaj eight yards out, rolling through to the grateful Jordan Amissah to gather.

  15. Postpublished at 12:37 British Summer Time 16 August

    Chesterfield 0-0 Bristol Rovers

Pretty end-to-end stuff in these early stages but neither side have carved out a real chance yet.

Chesterfield's Vontae Daley-Campbell's run up the right looks like it could offer some threat though and even when he's taken to ground, he's soon back up on his feet.

This time the home side aren't able to capitalise as the balls falls to Rovers feet and the flag goes up for an offside call anyway.

  16. goal

GOAL: Oldham 0-1 Swindonpublished at 12:36 British Summer Time 16 August

    Joe Snowdon (4 mins)

What a start for the visitors as the first goal of the day comes in League Two.

Finley Munroe's cross finds summer signing Joe Snowdon who fires past Mathew Hudson.

  17. 'A really small pitch here'published at 12:36 British Summer Time 16 August

    Burton 0-0 Port Vale

    Phil Bowers
    BBC Radio Stoke commentator

It is a really small pitch here at Burton Albion, and the ball is going from one side of the pitch to the other very quickly.

You don't think anyone will be in possession for too long.

  18. GREAT SAVE!published at 12:33 British Summer Time 16 August

    Exeter 0-0 Mansfield

Bright start from the visitors, despite their dark blue away strip.

Luke Bolton does well to win a corner down the right and Jamie McDonnell rises highest to glance on a header which Grecians keeper Joe Whitworth helps over his crossbar.

    Kick-off is moments away...
