Maybe a bit of both.

Ross County's Michee Efete went down about five minutes ago with a calf complaint, and he's down again now.

Unable to continue, he's replaced by George Harmon.

Killie are pushing for a second before the break.

Bruce Anderson makes a clever run in behind but can't get his shot on target.

The home side's captain Kyle Vassell is down receiving treatment after being clattered by Richard Taylor, and is now replaced by Kyle Magennis.

And St Johnstone are down to 10 players with Jason Holt's yellow card upgraded to a red following his tackle on Chris Cadden.

VAR are checking for a possible red card for a challenge on Hibernian's Chris Cadden.

Derek McInnes said pre-match St Mirren had packed their team with big physical players and he was expecting a bit of a battle and that's pretty much how it has played out up to this point.

It's pretty scrappy though Killie are starting to look a little more threatening in the final third.

This game could do with a goal. Both sides are playing some decent stuff and trying to get forward, but bar a chance a piece, there's been very little joy in the final third rom either side.

Killie get forward in numbers looking for a second goal, but Kyle Vassell's shot is blocked and the visitors eventually get enough numbers back and scramble the ball clear.

Hearts shut down Motherwell as they try to play out, and a lovely touch from Blair Spittal tees up Liam Boyce, but his shot is blocked.

The Hearts striker shakes his head furiously. He's desperate for a goal.

Akil Wright gave Ross County the lead with a stunning long-range effort.

Motherwell haven't offered much, but centre-back Dan Casey creates something from nothing.

First it's great footwork as he beats a man and strides into midfield. He then delivers a superb ball in behind the Hearts defence, but Tawanda Maswanhise's touch is poor and the chance is gone.

James Brown goes into the book now as he shoves Duk as Aberdeen try and launch a counter.

Did Brown deny a clear goal scoring opportunity? Apparently not. Just a yellow.

Adama Sidibeh finds himself stranded on the right-hand side of the Hibs box before squaring the ball into the middle but it's cleared by Hibs before the flag goes up for offside.

And that's Ester Sokler's game over. The Aberdeen forward is replaced by Kevin Nisbet.

Nisbet scored the winner the last time these sides met. Can he make an impact again?

For all the talk about the conditions, there is no doubt Ross County have adapted the best to them.

They have been more the threatening and have managed to knock the ball about reasonably well.

Excellent play by Musa Drammeh as he muscles his way towards the Motherwell goal. He stabs an effort at goal from a tight angle, but Aston Oxborough makes the save.

Ester Sokler is down on the halfway line, but Ross County are keen to keep playing. Eventually, Ryan Leak feels bad for him and knocks it out.

It appears to be a calf problem. The Dons' striker has already signalled to the bench. He wants off.

The first half-hour of Scottish Premiership action in 2025 has been eventful. Impressive strikes, a penalty and unpredictable weather. What next?
