    A really bizarre game.

The weather to one side, Ross County could have been out of sight, having had the better chances.

But what lifeline that Kevin Nisbet goal is for Aberdeen, who have not really created much.

Jimmy Thelin will be hoping that can be the moment to ignite his side into something better after the break.

  4. Triple Well changepublished at 16:06 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January

    Hearts 1-0 Motherwell

No surprise that Stuart Kettlewell makes THREE half-time changes. Off go Tom Sparrow, Harry Paton and Shane Blaney.

Davor Zdravkovski, Sam Nicholson and Moses Ebiye are on. Will it make a difference?

  5. Nisbet does it againpublished at 16:05 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January

    HT: Aberdeen 1-1 Ross County

This Kevin Nisbet strike found its way into the net for Aberdeen's leveller. It's Nisbet's second goal against Ross County this season.

  8. HALF-TIME Aberdeen 1-1 Ross Countypublished at 16:02 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January

After over an hour at Pittdorie, the whistle is blown for half-time.

We've had snow delays, a goal of the season contender, and an all-timer of a goalkeeping howler. It's been some first half.

Ross County have controlled most of that. They've handled the blizzard-like conditions better and have had the better chances.

But a calamity between the sticks from Jordan Amissah has handed Aberdeen a lifeline.

  9. goal

GOAL Aberdeen 1-1 Ross Countypublished at 15:57 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January

    Kevin Nisbet

    Oh dear me.

Kevin Nisbet curls a low free-kick towards the bottom corner and Jordan Amissah initially saves, but the ball somehow squirms behind him and goes over the line.

It's an absolute howler and Nohan Kenneh's miss is punished straight away.

  11. HALF-TIME St Johnstone 1-0 Hibernianpublished at 15:55 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January

Well, well, well 10-man St Johnstone go into the break a goal to the good thanks to that converted penalty from Nicky Clark.

Both sides created decent enough chances but as the half progressed it was Hibernian who looked more likely to find the back of the net as the Saints' backline had to clear not one, but two shots off the line.

Jason Holt's foul on Chris Cadden gave the visitors a personnel advantage but they trail at the break.

    Aberdeen 0-1 Ross County

Nohan Kenneh is slipped behind, he steadies himself and goes one-on-one... and Ross Doohan saves with his chest.

Kenneh had to score there. A huge chance for County to go in at half-time 2-0 up, but it's blown - and now the soon dances around the stadium.

  13. 'Well changes would be unsurprising'published at 15:53 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January

    HT: Hearts 1-0 Motherwell

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Scotland at Tynecastle

The only surprise here at Tynecastle is that Hearts only lead by one goal. The home side have totally dominated the opening 45 minutes with Motherwell failing to lay a glove on the Hearts defence.

Don’t be too surprised to see Stuart Kettlewell making a few changes at the break.

    Aberdeen 0-1 Ross County

County almost catch Aberdeen on the break as Jack MacKenzie fails to intercept a James Brown and the ball drops to Noah Chilvers.

He feeds it to George Harmon, who takes a great touch to get it back on his left foot, but it's well blocked.

  16. PENALTY TO ST JOHNSTONEpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January

    St Johnstone 0-0 Hibernian

Rocky Bushiri fouls St Johnstone's Jack Sanders and it's a spot-kick to the hosts.

  17. HALF-TIME Kilmarnock 1-0 St Mirrenpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January

Bruce Anderson's goal - after his spot-kick was saved by Ellery Balcombe - has Kilmarnock in front at the break.

In a game lacking quality, the home side have had the better of it and deservedly lead.

    St Johnstone 0-0 Hibernian

St Johnstone have to clear off the line once again!

The ball from Josh Campbell is kept out by Bozo Mikulic to keep things level.

  19. ADDED TIMEpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January

    Aberdeen 0-1 Ross County

Ten minutes of added time to be played here at Pittodrie, after the earlier problems with the snow.

And there'll be even more, now Aberdeen's Gavin Molloy is down with an shoulder problem. He was wrestling Akil Wright at a corner.

  20. HALF-TIME Hearts 1-0 Motherwellpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January

Musa Drammeh's close-range strike after seven minutes is the difference. Hearts have been utterly dominant and would have hoped for another goal.

A positive start to 2025 for the home side, but the job isn't done.

Motherwell have had no attempts on goal and one touch in Hearts' box. It's as poor as they have played all season.

They have struggled with Hearts' intensity and really miss Lennon Miller's composure in the middle of the park.
